Muric 9 - distribution, vision and reading of the game absolutely top draw, what a talent
Roberts 8 - really enjoying his football now, some lovely pass and move football down the right
Ekdal 9 - cool as you like, dominant
Beyer 9 - should have got a ridiculous assist for Tella’s 4th!
Maatsen 8 - full of confidence, he’s become a key part of Kompany’s tactical system overloading central areas
Cullen 9 - bloody love watching him dictate things
Brownhill 8 - everywhere, who said he can’t play in a possession based team?
JBG 8 - another cool performance in a different role today
Tella 10* - rarely give 10s but he was unplayable today and got 3 goals
Zaroury 8 - constant threat, final ball patchy but still could have had a goal / assist
Barnes 8 - another absolutely full of confidence in every part of his game

Foster 7 - has the physical attributes to do very well
Obafemi 7 - didn’t get into it much but his clever turn on the half way line should have left him clear if not for the ref

My favourite all round performance of the season.

Outstanding football from start to finish. The movement, clarity of thought, passing and skill was just way too good for PNE.

Muric - 9 - unreal distribution again.
Roberts - 8 - great link up down the right, good defensively too.
Ekdal - 8 - dealt with everything, what he lacks in pace, makes up for in positional awareness.
Bayer - 8 - unlucky to be booked, that delap was leaving bits on everyone all game, calm when needed and good at coming out of defence.
Maatsen - 8 - love seeing him and Zaroury linking up going forward.
Cullen - 9 - does everything you want a CDM to do, always an option, but for Tellas hat trick he was my MOM.
Brownhill - 8 - proving each week he’s better in that deeper role.
Tella - 10 - MOM, hat trick, constant pressing, makes teams make errors.
Gudmundson - 7 - relatively quiet afternoon, did nothing wrong though.
Zaroury - 8 - had their RWB/RB looking stupid with his dribbling first half, didn’t have the shooting boots on today but rest of his work was good.
Barnes - 9 - playing out of skin in both boxes atm, good to see.

Cork - 7
Foster - 6
Obafemi - 7
Twine - 6
Taylor - 6

Muric 9 In terms of goalkeeping had little to do, however his distribution was excellent, like having a quarterback on the team.

Roberts 7 His last few performances have been top drawer, bit of a drop off today switched off a couple of times and his distribution wasn’t the greatest.

Beyer 9 Beckenbeyer, just class.

Ekdal 8 Excellent addition to the team, calm under pressure.

Maatsen 8 He’s Ian Maatsen, he’s top of the league.

Brownhill 8 Great assist for the first goal, leading the team.

Cullen 9 Probably doesn’t get the headlines that his teammates get, but absolute quality with it without the ball, knits the whole teams together

Tella 9 Pace, movement and quality finishing, even tried to set Lyle up when could have gone for a fourth.

Zaroury 7 Hardly got the ball today, used it well when he did though

JBG 7 Steady away, consistent JBG performance

Barnes 8 Barnsey does what Barnsey does, Barnsey the opposite of Spursy.

That's what superiority really looks like.

Muric 9 obscene passing for a goalkeeper. Helped by Preston offering absolutely nothing to the game, he was really able to showcase himself playing in front of the centre halves.

Roberts 8 fine form continues

Ekdal 8 guilty of overpaying and overrunning the ball a couple of times but to say he's still getting used to things, he was dominant

Beyer 9 ridiculous

Maatsen 8 his stamina and pace in the closing stages really helps take the pressure off and get us up the pitch

Cullen 9 metronome

Brownhill 8 lovely cross for the first

Gudmundsson 8 some really neat stuff and kept possession well

Tella 10 unplayable, three fine finishes and should have had 4

Zaroury 9 that spin and pass in the centre of the park at the death was worth turning up for alone

Barnes 8 also in fine form right now and unlucky not to grab a goal

6s for the subs if any were on long enough

Absolute mismatch this was. Another poor side swatted away by the team serving up the best football in the country right now.

Muric 8 outstanding distribution
Roberts 7
Ekdal 9 class and imperious
Beyer 9 as above must sign him up
Maatsen 8 usual high standard
Cullen 8 excellent positioning, passing and reading of game
Brownhill 7
Tella 10 mom terrorised them with a sublime performance
JBG 7
Zaroury 7
Barnes 7

Subs

All 6 game management really when they came on

Could easily have been 4 or 5-0 and it wouldn’t have flattered us. Some of the football was excellent

Muric 9 - I’ve loved watching him play all season - what a talent
Roberts 8 - seems to have settled into the team now
Ekdal 8 - positionally very good and good technique
Beyer 9 - thought he was outstanding
Maatsen 8 - sign him up
Cullen 9 - seems to suit being a single holding midfielder rather than in a 2
Brownhill 8 - prefer him in this position
Gudmundsson 8 - having a top season
Tella 9 - a joy to watch today
Barnes 8 - in great form - tidy and links up the play
Zaroury 8 - final ball not always there today but still a joy to watch

Probably ought to be 8, 9 or 10 for them all; but as ever, there's Roberts' moustache to be allowed for.

Tella mom, but a word for Ekdal. This lad is some talent, reads the game so well, is chasing passes before they are made, Fast, strong, good in the air, can carry the ball, and play a pass. Most of all he so composed, never hurried or flustered. The complete package, the real deal, and 2.4 mill WOW. Will be a star.

As dominant a performance as you will see at this level for an hour and once we declared at 3-0 our Comfort levels were extraordinary.

Muric - 8 - barely tested as a keeper, and his distribution was sublime.

Roberts - 9 - really sharp on the right hand side and looks so comfortable in that role now.

Maatsen - 9 - ran the legs off Preston down the left and apart from a couple of over ambitious moments late on, used the ball magnificently.

Ekdal - 8 - generally very solid although there were a couple of slightly nervous moments.

Beyer - 9 - a Rolls Royce performance both defensively and stepping forwards.

Cullen- 10 - as close to a complete midfield performance as you'll see at this level.

Brownhill- 9 - wonderful cross for the opener and suffocated the life out of Preston whilst always offering a an attacking option.

JBG - 8 - a really neat and tidy performance gilded with some lovely touches.

Tella- 10 - full of running and scored the perfect hat-trick.

Zaroury- 9 - ever so slightly wasteful in the second half but in the first half he terrified Preston and produced two or three sensational crosses, most obviously for Barnes.

Barnes - 10 - as good a display of centre forward play without scoring as you'll see. Ran the game from centre forward and whilst he was desperately unlucky not to score, his contribution to our second half goals can't be under estimated.

Foster - 6 - still a bit uncertain and adapting to English football but grew into the game in his half hour on the pitch.

Cork - 6 - steady away but the game had drifted by then.

Obafemi - 5 - didn't look especially comfortable out wide and clearly short on sharpness, but the run out will do him good.

The first hour was as good as we've been all season and from the moment we went ahead everyone in the ground, including those connected with Preston, knew roughly what was coming. The cohesion in our play was a wonder to behold and but for some good keeping, desperate defending and the odd break of the ball, we would have been out of sight by half time. The two second half goals owed much to the rejuvenated Barnes but were finished comprehensively by Tella, before we took the luxury decision to declare our innings, give Foster an impromptu training session in playing with his back goal, and generally save ourselves for Tuesday's tester with Watford.

Ten in a row, and goodness knows how many goals scored. Magnificent stuff.

What a joy this team is. As a former PNE boss once said, this was "total domination". At times in the second half I feel we could have easily pumped them by 5 or 6 but we rested a few and the game became disjointed.

I don't often give 10's out, but Tella and Beyer today were on another planet. Such a great feeling to see how far we are ahead of our local rivals. We put them in their place like a naughty schoolboy.

Muric 9 - World class distribution today, and they couldn't handle it
Roberts 8 - He's been so solid in this 10 game streak. Puts the yards in
Beyer 10 - Think that was the best centre back display I've ever seen from a Burnley player
Ekdal 8 - Looks a good addition to me
Maatsen 9 - Getting better as the season progresses. Tenacious and all over the pitch
Brownhill 8 - Great assist, solid display
Cullen 9 - Just oozes class
Tella 10 - Had his fullback on toast all game, great goals
Zaroury 8 - Few things didn't come off, but as usual, was an absolute joy to watch
JBG 8 - Did well as a number 8
Barnes 8 - Barnes is back, looks a different player to earlier on in the season

Foster 7 - My first look at him. Looks raw, but he shows promise
Obafemi 7 - Struggled to get into the game, but he will be an asset. Not played much football so this will do him good

Make no mistake, this team will win the league, and possibly has a chance of breaking many records.

What a good day :)

The only thing missing from our performance today was more goals

Preston couldn't get near us, and it was a training game for the last thirty minutes

Not perfection, but pretty close to it at this level

Muric 9 - the distribution was immaculate
Roberts 9 - very, very solid
Ekdal 9 - looks totally at home at this level
Beyer 10 - far, far, far too good for anything in this division. I think we might really struggle to keep him
Maatsen 9 - pace and power far too much for the opposition
Tella 10 - great hatrick, and had his man on toast all game
Cullen 10* - about as good a performance in centre midfield as you will see at this level
Brownhill 9 - works so hard
JBG 8 - slotting nicely into this role
Zaurory 9 - bit wasteful, but no one got near him all game
Barnes 9 - the best I've seen him play in this role. Its his shirt to lose

Subs
Foster 7 - showed a lot more
Obefemi 6 - needs games
Cork 7

We have a chance, a small chance, but a chance of being the best team that this division will ever see, and they so deserve it when they play like this

Muric - 8 so calm and oozes class
Roberts - 8
Ekdal - 8
Beyer - 9
Maatsen - 8
Cullen - 9 class
Brownhill - 8
Tella - 10 quality
JBG - 8
Zaroury - 7
Barnes - 8

How good is it to have wingers on both sides of the pitch with so much pace and flair. I honestly don’t recall a time in my lifetime watching Burnley where we had this. It’s honestly amazing to watch.

What an afternoon. What a team!

I absolutely adore those lads out there in claret and blue, thrilling us week in, week out.

So, so grateful to VK and his back room staff for what we’re getting served up this season.

Unbelievable!

Never thought I’d feel sorry for PNE but in about the 70th minute I did. They didn’t know where to look. Dominated in every department. Muric was outrageous - he pinged a ball out wide in about the 20th minute that was probably one of the passes of the season. From a keeper! Ekdal looks the part already, Beyer is sublime on the ball (how good are those runs?!), Cullen ran the midfield, Barnes produced a masterclass in forward play and Tella was ruthless. We are hilariously good, so far ahead of the rest it’s almost unreal.

Forgot to add - Tella has to take MOTM, but there were a few candidates.

Did anyone else think Foster looked a little bit sharper today? Pinged one really smart first time pass, won a few free kicks and generally looked to be getting more up to speed.

Showed some pace, and I think he was very unlucky to be pulled up by the ref when he had won the ball and had a chance to run on goal

Best and most complete team performance this season. Absolutely outstanding. Could and should have been much more than 3-0.

Yes. It looked to me like Kompany had encouraged the team to play into Foster, back to goal, whenever possible. He was uncomfortable initially, but the longer he was on the more assured his touch and pass became. Agree with Lancaster, I thought that was a generous foul and he's clearly got some pace.
