VK's not going to have them humping long balls down the channels for a lone striker.
You mean like muric on Saturday to Barnes and the flick of the defenders shoulder for tella’s 3rd

Everton so predictable, they look like us in the last 18 Dyche months. Horrific.
You can't be enjoying this if you support Everton.
Some fans won't like this, but he's not suited to a team like Everton. He's a Championship manager who is excellent at getting teams up.

Oh dear Sean looks like his bitten off more than he can chew with this lot,I’d only take Tarks out of this lot,& he’d only make the bench.

Looks like it's not going to be a fruitful night for the Toffees, but it's not games like this that will determine whether they stay up or not, but games (including six-pointers) against the sides at the bottom and lower middle of the PL, plus the odd nugget like the win over Arsenal.

Not all that confident for them, though.

Let's be fair, it's good for us if they go down. I wanted them to win because I want Leeds down.
But if Everton go down thats a big club out of the Premier League.

Always thought Dyche sides were better set up in a 4-4-2 than a 4-5-0.

I can’t get over how good Zaroury was a swop for McNeil absolutely astounding, was it £20m in , £3.5m spent ? unreal , twice the player.

I've said it before, but I think VK would play McNeil through the middle. He wouldn't be competing with Zaroury.

That's fair enough, but just remember Dwight's currently playing against far better players
than AZ is, much as I like him.

True but I think he’ll show he can still do it when we hopefully get promoted and he’s two footed

Team full of clodders this lot absolute zero pace and now no target man…. They’re in Big bother. Actually think Dwight has been their best player had the bravery to keep taking the ball.

Fair comment mate. But I bet if you ask every Burnley fan, 99% would take McNeil as a bench option. I agree with your thinking though.. but looks like Everton will be going down.

Spot on, our dominance and possession football drew Preston forward and their manager Lowe had to take a risk and leave the back 3 isolated. Once we spotted that we switched to using Muric's amazing passing accuracy to go long and totally expose their tactics.

Not sure if this was a tactical masterclass from VK or whether the players were intelligent enough to spot the gap themselves and exploit it but either way those two goals were very much products of the way we pass it out from the back and the problems it causes for the opposition

I may be wrong but we bought AZ and MB for £5m combined, unreal buys for the money so McNeil bankrolled them and lots more of the rebuild so we have to thank him for that.👍

I think we've done sound business. Sell those 2 and it has to be 30-60 million.

To be fair to McNeil we don't know how he'd have fared in the championship, could well have looked as great as anass, similarly anass might look similar to McNeil in the premier league. Hopefully he will set it on fire though!

I think you’ve got to bear in mind how much quicker PL players are generally though. It’s been very noticeable this season how slow some of the defenders are, and it becomes more noticeable the longer a game goes on. There was one instance on Saturday where Zaroury just hit a ball past a defender and ran a wide arc around him.

Zaroury won’t be able to do that with ease in the PL, but he’s got much quicker feet than McNeil and is able to go in both directions. Unfortunately McNeil lacks pace and even TAA has worked out tonight that he’s so predictable in that he only looks to go down the touch line to get a left footed cross in.

Muric's pinpoint long passing is not the same as aimlessly hoofing it down the channels. If you think it's the same that's a cause for concern, to be polite.
