Good point in the end, but Watford had one good chance and scored, on another night we could have won that comfortably!

Sloppy tonight throughout the team but even then Watford scored from a howler. Played poorly and still deserved to win really.

Depends if Muric is injured. If he isn’t then nah.
For me there are too many blunders. He is very lucky a number of his gashes have not been punished this season-in the PL 90 % of the time the opposition score. After that mis kick he still had the chance to grab the ball on the floor but watch how he fluffs that too whilst in panic mode

An awful game. Terrible ref, niggly opposition dropping all over the place and wasting time. Everything we struggle with today, but we got the point and I’m delighted with that.

We will need to be better on Saturday - possession needs to be retained much more consistently and some of our most crucial players were under par today (Zaroury, Maatsen, Brownhill), we need them back to their best.

Delighted for Oba.

From where I was sat, the ref pretty much didn’t put a foot wrong. Pretty difficult game to referee with all the shenanigans going on.

How Hoedt didn’t get carded or give away a penalty only the referee knows, probably wasn’t even looking at him. More interested in Barnes.

It had to end some time... As much as Watfor didnt offer much in the second half, they were very physical and full of effort, made it very difficult for us to build momentum.

We looked a bit overexcited in the first half and could have taken our time on the ball a bit. I think they got to us.

Cullen looked on his own a bit in the middle. Maybe Cork alongside him would have provided a bit of physicality, gamesmanship and calm.

Poor old Muric - such a good passer on most days but had a bad day today and the mistake capped it - simple error of judgement. We know what his weaknesses are, but he has been so valuable so many times this season. Hopefully it's a lesson learned.

You can’t have it both ways.

You also have to remember that we defend a lot further up the pitch and are a hell of a lot more open than we were under Dyche.

The type of defensive actions Muric is expected to take is way different, of course on occasion he makes a blunder but so what - did you have the same energy last match when we scored directly from a pin point Muric laser ?

Our passing game didn’t work tonight. Maatsen, Tella, Zaroury etc all gave the ball away cheaply throughout the game. Only Cullen looked up to passing it well tonight, plus we seem to pass and move the ball better when Cork is in midfield with Cullen.
I had a funny feeling all day today about this game, honestly happy with a point.

Bizarrely although we didn't win that last gasp equaliser feels great, and our winning run was bound to come to a halt at some stage, at least we put another point on our tally, and with Sheff Utd/Boro meeting tomorrow whatever the result we'll gain ground on one of them.

Other than that six minutes was a disgrace. We should still be playing.

The big positive out of tonight is that our 2 new centre backs gelled , that is massive if Beyer is out for a few weeks

I know he can ping a pass to great effect and generally his passing is good, but come on, I watch the League 1, 2 & 3 goals weekly on SKY and its rare you get a blunder like that tonight from lower league goalies, and he has cost us a good few more by his flapping and hesitation this season. He is as someone has already posted a Brian Jensen-great some days and dreadful on others

Should have been more added time I agree but it’s excuses to blame the ref. We were very poor so criticising the ref is sour grapes from some.
Was one of the “pens” the late claim for hand ball? If so on the replay it’s clear that the referee got that right too.

So you’re NOT happy to concede that we have, in-fact scored way more from Muric’s feet because you’re looking at the game emotionally rather than rationally.

Tell me when a league one two goalie can play more successful completions than the two opposing centre mids combined?

It was a blunder. Blunders can happen. He’s young and will continue to improve - Ben Mee had plenty of blunders losing the ball near half way sloppily in possession leading to a goal but didn’t get slaughtered for it.

That was his first mistake in months and the first time all season really he's been as poor with his kicking. He wasn't the only one tonight who had a really bad performance too.

Is it fatigue? Too many games all at once? Not using the squad depth as we perhaps should?

Who knows… still unbeaten and onto the next at Luton

I think Watford deserve some credit. The chat on here reminds me of oppositions we faced when a Dyche side took a point off a much better side. Moaning about fouls etc. They did a good job of stopping our runners, one on one they were superb against zaroury and Tella in the main. They pressed high well and forced errors in good areas of the pitch. Did they try and wind us up a bit? Sure. But we fell for it a little. We certainly didn't deserve to lose but I think Watford deserved their point.

Lots of positives tonight got bullied and pressed and outfought by possible one of the strongest squad a real learning curve were we had to roll out sleeves up and fight back. Mistakes were made but our players will be better for a game like tonight and move on.

Was a challenge we came out ok in the end against a very capable side

We got closed they had quick forward players who both cut our passing lanes and forced mistakes we live and learn

Watford pressed us well , probably better than anyone else has this year, in jao pedro they have an excellent forward. Their goalie had a good game. Zaroury and tella did not have their fullbacks on toast as they do with most sides. They niggled and battled , so did we. I think VK made the right call with BPF as this in hindsight was not a game for Muric, and their press. And a new centre back partnership which came about as Beyer went off . So this would have took a bit of pressure of Ekdal and hadjil . Bizarrely that press was almost non existent second half.

Good point in the end, but Watford had one good chance and scored, on another night we could have won that comfortably!
No they capitalised on a mega blunder by Muric
