Really don’t get the sky love in with Sheff United, Boro look streets ahead. The commentator also said there’s no better team at grinding out results than Sheff United…. I beg to differ.

15 points is the same gap as Cardiff making the play offs.

Preston losing at home to Luton and down to 10 men. They are dropping like a stone.

Very impressive from Boro. Sheff have a tricky run of games coming up. They’ll be a bit worried after this tonight.
Re: Sheffield United v Middlesbrough Tonight
Btw this just shows how good we are, as we made Boro looked quite poor at the Turf, limited them to basically nothing (albeit they didn’t have Archer)

Sheffield United look completely bereft of confidence. Think they’ll become more involved in a fight for second rather than chasing us from now.

And now Heckingbottom sent off... All makes the point against Watford look rather good, doesn't it...

Yep, they'll be into April with only 7 games left by the time they've played those.
On the flip side, this time next week 9 of our remaining 13 games will be against sides in the bottom half.

Their main cb, Ahmedhozic, is one booking off a 2 game ban as well.agreenwood wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 9:40 pmYep, they'll be into April with only 7 games left by the time they've played those.

Thank God Boro haven’t had Carrick all season or things might not be so comfortable
They are so much better than Sheff Utd on this evidence

Re: Sheffield United v Middlesbrough Tonight
Beg to differ ran into a cul de sac, with no clear pass out or advantage, at that point the advantage was to Boro who outnumbered them in middle and up front. Ref didn’t read game correctly. Just because you dont fall down in next 2-3 strides and challenges still coming in. No obvious advantage

Re: Sheffield United v Middlesbrough Tonight
He was still in control of the ball and unchallenged. He made a pass that found his man. Basically he’d recovered from the foul to carry on. The ref was right to judge the advantage was taken.Goalposts wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 9:45 pmBeg to differ ran into a cul de sac, with no clear pass out or advantage, at that point the advantage was to Boro who outnumbered them in middle and up front. Re: Sheffield United v Middlesbrough Tonight
Boro now closer to Sheff Utd than Sheff Utd are to us.
Re: Sheffield United v Middlesbrough Tonight
Blackpool. Rarely seem to finish a game with eleven men.
Re: Sheffield United v Middlesbrough Tonight
Halfway through stoppage time last night I wouldn't have imagined we'd be a point better off on the Sheffield gap come the end of tonight.
