If we weren't to win it now, it would mean that we are going up despite a very bad run of form. Which wouldn't make the prospects for next season very good.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 9:00 amI'm with Ric, I want the title, 100%.
I'd even go as far as to say I'd be disappointed if we didn't win it at this stage (Obviously I'd have bit your hand off for 2nd at the start of the season)
In my very positive mindset, we gained a good point when it looked like we'd get nothing.
31 pts from 33, it shouldn't matter which order they came in.
We were really poor Tuesday night, our passing under little to no pressure was awful. It was our worst performance in 3 months. Yet we had 65% possession, had 5 shots on goal to their 1, hit the bar, their keeper made 4 saves, ours sadly didn't have a save to make, the goal was a gift. They didn't create a single chance, and the few half chances they could have had, all came from our mistakes, not their good football.
There were loads of positives against Watford, only it was hard to pick them out amongst the critical errors.

Well we've got a tough two games too, at Luton and then Millwall.claretandy wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 10:18 amTough 12:30 kick off away at Millwall for Sheff Utd next, Boro are at home to hapless QPR at 3, it could be down to 4 points at 5 o'clock.

On the Burnley Watford Sky broadcast they showed last seasons Championship after 32 games and compared it with now.
2022-23
Burnley 31 69
Sheff Utd 31 61
Middlesbrough 32 54
2021-22
Fulham 31 64
Bournemouth 30 58
Blackburn 32 54
Fulham 46 90
Bournemouth 46 88
Huddersfield 46 82
Fulham's goal difference was a staggering 51 after 31 matches (we-re now 35) and 63 at the season's end. It's points though that make prizes as someone said. We are doing pretty well!

I’ve just re-run my calcs and we won’t lose every game. Mathematically we’re up.evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 6:52 pmIf we lose every game from now on, we'll be promoted?
I'm not convinced.
