I agree that he doesn't always pick the easiest pass, sometimes playing the ball to Cullen who was under pressure and had to quickly play the ball to a full back, who could have had the ball played to him in the first place without risk.
That's part of the plan in passing to Cullen when under pressure - draws the player in to challenge while he pops the ball out to Roberts or Maatsen, for them to exploit the space. Just get used to it because it's not going to change any time soon.

To be honest, the more pressure acuooen is under the greater the reward/space created.

I do love how Muric lives rent free in a few of the more scared poster’s heads. That prefeot weirdo (who also hated Vydra with a passion - an Eastern European thing?) and casper2 being just two who are spending this unique and brilliant season being triggered by one of our own players every week.

Sad.
Lol what a twot … it’s definitely not “an Eastern European thing” it’s a personal preference thing thing. You might disagree with me … that’s fine .., it’s simply my opinion.

Oh aye. Good job we didn’t sign that Bosnian from the Turkish League. You’d have replaced your keyboard a few more times by now. ;)

Added to the new chants thread but it’s about time we recognised his worth with his own chant.

Using the Bernardo Silva tune that City use -

Aaaaaaarrroooo (Muric)
He’s plays for Kosovo,
He can pass a ball,
He could play in our midfield!

Watched our subs at half time yesterday doing a rondo with Tella one of the players in the middle trying to win the ball back.
We had a tall player wearing a beanie hat, standing with his back to the longside who was flicking the ball when it came to him. All the tricks. Silky one touch passing. I thought who is this lad, looks quality. Then I realised he was wearing different colour socks to the rest of the players…could only be..Muric
Hope somebody got a video of it because it’s worth a re-watch.

Another clean sheet. Outstanding today. Two top saves, commanded his box well too.

Getting better every game.

The cross he came for in the first half he makes a complete mess of 6 months ago. It's something you would expect him to do in his sleep but his progress in terms of confidence is there for all to see

Clip of his two saves today. Perfect angles for the one on one to make himself big and the header is just brilliant reflexes.

He was very very good today. 2 good saves and 2 good catches for high balls.
If he can be like that every week he would be an absolute asset to the team.

Winning me over. Always been brilliant with his feet, but now claiming high balls into the box almost Pope like! And 2 superb saves today which meant it was a cake walk rather than a difficult, potential banana skin.

It sounds like another case of the coaches working very closely with him, identifying key areas from earlier in the season. For me Muric, Roberts, Barnes, Maatsen, JBG,BPF, are better players now than they were in September. Great credit to the support team to VK

Two great saves today, the first was a poor finish, but Muric’s positioning gave their striker little option but to go for the far post and Muric was ready for it. The second was a great reaction save from a situation which looked like being a certain goal - unlucky not to end up with a 1v1 for Tella too.

The crosses he collected were fairly routine but great to see his confidence in coming for them.

The one-on-one save was almost identical to the save he made from Pukki. He's almost making the striker's mind up.

He sort of under hit a pass out today, nothing cane of it but he should be hung drawn and quartered, because, you know.

Tonight I retract my season long criticism of Muric and watching BPF try to replicate Muric I have finally realised how good Muric is

BPF did as well as anyone could have expected. Some of his distribution was excellent (contrary to what some of the jokers on the match thread were saying). Not sure that Muric would’ve made a scrap of difference.

Just thought in an FA cup quarter final against one of the best club sides in the world we might have played our best goalie to give us half a chance.

To be fair though we could have had Nick Pope or Gordon Banks or both in goal, don't think it would have made any difference.

I agree that we should have played our best keeper (Muric). At least he has come away from it without any psychological scarring which may have affected him for our upcoming games.

I honestly don’t think playing Muric would have made any difference today

Don’t think BPF did anything wrong for any of the goals conceded In fact he made sure it wasn’t any worse

We’d most likely have lost heavily with Muric too, but even against far lesser opposition the gulf in technical quality between him and BPF is substantial.

I’ll be amazed if we don’t sign another keeper this summer. If Muric gets injured, we’ll be at a disadvantage in terms of our style of play if BPF has to play regularly.

Lost count the number of times Peacock kicked the ball out of play in the first half, switches of play that Muric makes with his eyes closed. Those switches of play with Zaroury 1v1 with Walker were obviously part of the gameplan and Peacock just kept wellying it out of play. Peacock misses an easy switch to a wide open Zaroury, kicks it out of play, 20 seconds later its in the back of the net and the games over.
