Re: THB
You've definitely got a point that Ekdal's come in when we've looked more settled, but at the same time we've looked more settled with him.KRBFC wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 1:22 pmThe stats are completely irrelevant to me because:
Ekdal has come into a settled peak version of a well structured oiled machine, Harwood Bellis was here at the start when we were more a bunch of strangers, a very capable side but we don't throw a 3-1 lead at home to Blackpool these days.
Harwood Bellis is more riskier with his passes than Ekdal, more comfortable on the ball, better driving forward with it and makes less errors. I see Ekdal as the more side to side of the 3.
And the stats aren't irrelevant, as they show that factually Ekdal is better than Bellis at driving forward with the ball.
I'd like to see how Bellis looks in the team as it is now, but I do wonder if people are just being a bit taken in by his regular tries for Hollywood passes in rating him as so far ahead of Ekdal, in this team. Sure his pace means he'd probably be better in the Prem, but I'm talking what they've done this season for us now.
Re: THB
If they don’t get this embargo sorted out ,we might find the THB goes somewhere else, and if we can’t guarantee having him back next season ,I wouldn’t want to upset the existing pair, let him come on like Taylor does to shore up the defence.

Re: THB
You mean the embargo that doesnt apply to the prem and as has been repeated several time the club is confident will be gone by Summer anyway. Even without an embargo we might not get the player but he will still play because:
A. He has too their is a contract
B. He is our best centre back

Does he?HistoricalClaret wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 12:19 pmHow many long passes and diagonal switches does Ekdal make. THB is a far better distributor of the ball and that genuinely isnt up for debate plus none of this matters we have to play THB because hes has a game clause.

Re: THB
Alan Nixon who I know can be hot and cold on transfer news broke the THB signing on loan as with Egan Riley signing he also said we were looking at Sepp Van De Berg from Liverpool however after a week said we wouldn't go ahead with the deal as Liverpool wanted a 30 game guarantee we couldn't commit to it as we already had one with THB and thus we moved on from the deal.

Read somewhere that although the FL can’t take any action if we go in the Prem,The Prem can dish out some other punishment on us,so we need to be whiter than white when the season is finished.HistoricalClaret wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 2:22 pmYou mean the embargo that doesnt apply to the prem and as has been repeated several time the club is confident will be gone by Summer anyway. Re: THB
I understand why people have opined adversely, but once he's ready, he's straight back in for me.
My MOM away at Huddersfield in the first game, and almost all of the next 25 he played following that.

Re: THB
The prem can also embargo us but whether they actually do is a different story cos the prem does like to annoy the ELF and isnt known for its stringency on the rules

Re: THB
If you listen to the Keiran Maguire interview he says that whilst technically that is correct there is very much an agreement in place that the PL and EFL honor each others embargo - so whilst I also agree that we will get ours sorted it is clearly important that we do.HistoricalClaret wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 2:22 pmYou mean the embargo that doesnt apply to the prem
