No. Sky switched from showing our game to the Forest Brighton game. From memory Brighton needed to win to get in the play offs, which they were doing. The commentary went something like we go from Reading v Burnley, started showing the Forest game and said it has finished 2-2. That would have put Reading in the play offs, but the 2-2 reference was to our game, Brighton were winning 2-1. The Reading fans were all congratulatory when they ran on the pitch until the reality sank in (and there were lines of stewards and Police in front of them) then they came over all brave. One of the blokes i was stood with said they are really aggressive. My response was if they wanted trouble, they had free access to our stand when they ran on the pitch and did nothing but give us thumbs up and applaud us. See what they are like outside the ground. The answer was loads of well done, congratulations and good luck in the Premier League.

It was funny. They were giving it the "darts anthem" then realised what had happened. The Burnley fans then started doing the darts anthem:)
Remember this like it was yesterday, fantastic memory!

They're only required to give us 2000, so probably 2100 is the full capacity of the away section. Like at the Turf, we only give 2200. Sunderland could probably have sold 10,000.

Never understood why some clubs give such a small allocation when the ground will be half empty.

my thoughts…. surely they could sort segregation for the whole season knowing it’s gonna be half empty. losing a lot of money over the season

I'm sure Reading have given teams the full end in the past though?

Don't think so, unless it was a cup game. Since we were there last they have swoped over the away end with the home end.

Away fans visiting the Madejski Stadium are located in the South Stand behind one of the goals, with a typical allocation of 2,100 though this can be raised to 4,300 if there is sufficient demand.

Correct but they have season ticket holders in the home section. Would we be happy to move out our ST holders in the CFS to give away teams a bigger allocation? No we would not!

Not really.
I asked for help, but then managed myself.
Then the Ticket Office answered after 2 rings and a nice young chap sorted me out quickly and efficiently.
That makes twice I have rung them recently and each time the service was spot on.
Just thought it was worth mentioning as they seem to get a lot of stick.
PS the reason I had to ring each time was the same though - the online ticket system is B******s!

Selling very well so far.
I’d say we’ve sold 80% of Block 30 and 31, with Block 32 still to go on sale.

Anyone who already has a ticket and had to sell, then I’d happily take it off your hands.
Not convinced they’ll be left when I can get them.

We are back where we were in the earlier days of going there. They moved away fans to the other side of the divide when they were promoted in 2006.

I live local to Reading and my son plays football for a local Under 11's team. Reading FC provide Grassroots football Concession tickets to these local teams to attract youngsters to the ground and the Burnley game has been chosen which means I pay £10/adult and my son pays £1/under 11, so £11 in total for two tickets. Only concern is that im sat in the family stand behind the nets but for £11 you cant grumble.

Yes, we do. 30 and 31 hold about 1800, so we've sold just short of 1700 and block 32 must hold around 400.

Surely not-is that just temporary whilst they open a new block, or is that fully sold out. They barely made general sale

Do you happen to know when the new train station near the ground is due to open? I know they've said "early 2023" previously. Would make it a lot easier to reach the ground
