No surprise there.
Rodgers has forgotten how to manage, just like SD last few seasons.
Yes, Leicester have no money, but they had players that could have been traded to freshen things up.
Agree the son isn't as interested as his dad. Be interesting to watch if they get relegated.
Or the owner the top fella has reigned the finances in, regarding player exchanges that's very complex (not impossible) but you are effectively putting players up for sale (maybe against their wishes) & then expecting lots of other moving parts to fall in place it's not simple, for sure Rodgers has made mistakes but he isn't a bad manager & will easily find another job I think, it had just run its course & the support had lost faith in him to overturn things, but things are unlikely to change unless playing investment is made from the top (pardon the pun).

They did that to be fair - sold Fofana for something silly like £70m and bought in cheap replacements in Faes and Souttar. Lot of change left over and I don’t think that was available for other incomings.

All mutual consent means is that people have agreed a non disclosure contract which gives some benefits to both parties, including how the original contract will be paid up and both parties agreeing not to criticise the other.

This farce in the PL with manager after manager going reminded me of a line at the end of Kompany’s interview with Campbell, VK said something that I interpreted as recognising when you are onto a good thing and not thinking the grass will be greener somewhere else, perhaps somewhere with a revolving door.

I do think we will get 3 or 4 years from him at least for that very reason, as long as we are still progressing.

Aiyawatt 'Top' Srivaddhanaprabha

It shouldn’t be difficult to work out why some people just call him top.

Might Potter go straight there? No smaller than Brighton?

It’s the same owners - used to be dad & son and is now just son.
So it’s not the same owners?

Could Leicester be the 2nd Premier League winners to be relegated ... joining the exclusive club ... current membership 1 aka HFFC (Horse Fiddlers FC)
That would be some going.

It’s really a remarkable story.

moved from father to son and the son was heavily involved while father was alive - as close to the same owners as you could imagine given what happened

Everton were huge when I first started watching football, one of the healthiest financially with the backing of the pools company. Even in the early 90s they were one of the big five that forced in the Premier League.

Leicester have had a superb few years but we’re always a bit of a yo-yo club. Amazing to believe now that twelve years ago they were playing in League One.
Leicester have shown what’s possible. Amazing to think the side that we went up with and almost went back down with / stayed up instead of, went on to do what they did.

Them winning the cup. Brighton and Brentford looking good for Europe. Us getting to the latter stages of the fa cup show that despite our great decade under Dyche, there’s still so much more for this small town club of ours to achieve even in the modern era. Genuinely believe we can do something special in the coming seasons .

Dont think there is any chance of this happening. He has also refused at least one move with Fulham wanting him a year ago. I think Schmeikel may have influenced his signing as they both played in the same national team. A few have been frozen out by Rodgers which suggests he has an issue managing certain players
I was shocked that when schmeicahel left they started the season and went into the window with ward as number one choice.

Are they that skint?

One of the owners is still there. But it’s obvious he has nowhere near the same desire or involvement.

Why have Leicester no money? They got a brand new ground for free and allegedly left many creditors owed payments for services received but not paid for.

Aye and Leicester deliberately ripped off a few companies along the way by going into administration, building a ground they knew was unaffordable.

Spot on.
A local building firm who worked on the new stadium was left with several million of unpaid bills as Leicester went into administration and the firm went bust themselves making everyone redundant. At the same time because of the football creditors rule Leicester continued to pay Muzzy Izzet £30k a week - which was a huge salary back then.

They breached Fair Play Regs a few years ago and were fined. I think also the holding company took a huge hit with COVID as they are in the business of duty free and airport sales in Thailand, and the value of the son is only a fraction of his late father. There was talk they could not afford to sack Rodgers-I suspect a mutual financial agreement has been reached
