On their forum they do a thread before each game collecting opposition fans views. Looks like they pulled comments off the ‘team v Sheffield United’ thread on here and are seemingly quite upset with some of you!
Also they all seem to think Kompany is a sore loser and arrogant. Some pretty odd comments on there, about they’ve had awful luck with injuries all season and how we haven’t had any, as well as how we are only so clear because of ‘all the late goals’ we’ve scored (even though just 5 have been game changing).

They've been sore ever since 2009 when we beat them home and away, and in a little cup match at Wembley.
"Man U fans in Burnley shirts" was the chant. Clueless.

There’s still time for them to slip into the playoffs, starting with tomorrow.
That would be funny. And I can’t see them winning it.

They should be ecstatic with us after we beat Middlesbrough on Friday, because they’re getting nothing off us tomorrow.
Their arses would be twitching otherwise.

Cannot see that with their fixtures. There’s only really the game with us that you wouldn’t expect them to win.
With an 8 point lead and a game in hand I reckon they’re over the line.

Not sure if it was that forum or another but a few weeks ago some of them were saying they'd not win another game for weeks, some proper hissy fits going on.
Middlesbrough and Luton have some tough fixtures to come so neither of them is going to win 6/6. Two wins will be plenty for Sheffield United to join us.

Wade Elliott.
He has that change of pace and he’s got away from Montgomery.
Into the path of McCann.
Good challenge.
And the follow up finds the net. What a strike from Wade Elliott.

No disrespect to any other team (except Blackburn) but really hope Luton join us next season, just to hear the constant whining from the elite.

If they managed to lose enough to go into playoffs they would have horrible momentum and might fail. Can’t see it happening though. Too big a lead and they are a good squad after all and have earned their position. The fight is for 3rd-6th to my view.

Working in Sheffield, this is the kind of crap I've had to listen to all season.
There was a thread earlier in the season where some posters (could have been Claret Tony) said they had lived in Sheffield and never really warmed to either Sheffield team. It's a weird one as I feel the same. Don't ask me why....however the SUFC thread kind of typifies it. No grace, no class, lots of entitlement. Bizarre really.

Luton coming up would be great. I said as much on the matchday thread for our away game.
A lot of football royalty would get upset going to that ground, which is good.
I'd fully welcome Preston sneaking in there to win the play offs though. I know it's good to be properly better than them, but Burnley vs Preston in the top division hasn't happened since methuselah was a lad.

We have played some of the best football seen in the Championship in many a long year. Our games have been a joy to watch and we have rightly earned praise from wherever we've played.
Sheffield United are a bunch of journeymen and have stuttered towards promotion
We owe them big time for the debacle earlier on in the season and I fully expect us to turn on the style tonight UTC.

I’ve not really liked them since me and my Dad were walking to Wembley Central after the play off final and a few of their fans gave us the throat slit sign and hurled abuse at us. Strange lot.

I live near Sheffield and know quite a few Blades. Guess what? They’re exactly the same as us, and for that matter Wednesday fans. Most are sound, a few are dicks and generally, just like us, a lot say daft things in their online echo chambers but are actually pretty reasonable in a real life discussion.
Anyway, really hope they go up as our results there aside, Bramall Lane is a very good away day.

I hope Sheffield United go up as well. All I remember about them at Wembley were that they were a good set of fans and said we deserved to beat them and wished us luck. I think they are similar to us and have gone through some really tough years and know how to enjoy the few good ones.
UTC!

I'll give them the credit they deserve, they remind me of us clinging onto Leicester City.
Sheff U have recovered from every set back so far, playing an effective style to get results, some direct, others sublime.
I hope we get a game tonight that reflects both teams dominance of the League.

Late goals
80 mins onwards
WEST BROM 1-1 Burnley
BURNLEY 2-1 Reading
BURNLEY 1-0 Norwich
BIRMINGHAM 1-1 Burnley
Burnley 1-1 STOKE
CARDIFF 1-1 Burnley
BURNLEY 3-2 Rotherham (x2)
BURNLEY 2-1 West Brom
BURNLEY 1-0 COVENTRY
MILLWALL 1-1 Burnley
BURNLEY 1-1 Watford
These are the late goals (80 mins onwards) that have affected the result of games this season, listening to Blades fans you'd assume we've had all the luck for all the season. Firstly you make your own luck and secondly I doubt they were saying how 'unlucky' we were earlier in the season.
I make it six games we've scored late goals in to gain points, although that includes the double against Rotherham and five games where late goals have seen us lose points.
12 points gained
10 points lost
