Some of our players - Not good enough

Post by TravisBickle » Mon Apr 10, 2023 11:26 pm

Give it a rest.

Every single one of them have proven this season not only are they good enough. They’re some of the best players that have ever played at this level.

Players calling for muric, maatsen, foster and others to be replaced. Get a grip. Enjoy them while you can. It was a long time in the doldrums.

Literally the best squad this leagues ever seen.

They’re clueless and know next to nothing about the game.

They’d have Kevin Ball, Jon Harley & Ian Moore over our players if they could

its probably been one of the most impressive seasons since the club came into being in 1882.
Debts, losing lots of players, just a year since sean left, and a brand new manager and team assembled i record time.
the choice of player, the speed at which they had to blend, it was unheard of anywhere at any level.
one of the toughest leagues anywhere, and beyond any ones expectations that success could come without waiting a few years to rebuild, the club assembled a record breaking squad with unprecedented results.
Staggeringly great achievement.

I think you’ll find Kompany is ruthless and two on the list probably won’t feature a lot next season. If we are lucky enough to secure Ian at left back that would be fantastic. I agree this season has as been the best footballing season I’ve ever seen but our manager won’t be happy with second best next season he’s a winner.

You could say that phrase about every squad in the world.
That's why squads are always revolving.

Whether some of our squad can make the step up to the PL is up for debate, however they've breezed through the Championship, so most should be given the opportunity to test themselves against the best in England.

There will be some departures naturally, and equally VK will be working hard to recruit the required quality, but the bulk of this squad will be here next season I feel, although we may not be able to retain some of our loanees.

That debate is for the summer though, for now let's just enjoy the final games of an incredible season which we're unlikely ever to see the likes of again.

Who are these “ people “ saying our players “ aren’t good enough “ ? Naturally it’s a huge step up to the prem and a few old guard along with a few fringe players and “ didn’t quite make its” will be on their way . But on the whole we’ve a sound base to build on .Lots of “ maybes” and “ possibles “ with loans etc but looks very positive imo .

Only time will tell, to see if they can make the step up but some of these players haven't even been with us (or even in the country) for 9 months yet.

For some supporters this will be their first taste of watching Burnley. Unfortunately they are in for a lifetime of disappointment but for others who have been through the good and bad times, enjoy this period because they don’t come around often.
