Agree had it been var then it was a red. Regardless of whether it was a booking or not it was still an awful challenge and one Norwood new exactly what he was doing imo.

The fact that we haven't had VAR this season is one of the better things about the Championship. In which case these things will get missed from time to time.

From playing myself (an an incredibly poor level) I think he absolutely knows what he’s doing.

Thankfully it doesn’t matter and Maatsen is ok for Saturday.

Barnes had the ball. Matic tackles him but mistimed it. Barnes plays a pass and his follow through hits the leg of the late tackling Matic. In slow motion Matic's leg does bend on impact. He was that injured that he got up immediately to push Barnes to the ground. This was an aggressive follow up to his late tackle. Matic has a reputation for late tackles but this time he came out of it badly but not badly enough for him to require any help to get to his feet.
