Relegation From PL Decider
This is the most interesting relegation fight I can remember in the PL, with definitely 5 teams in it, and several others not totally out yet. Lots of analysis as to who has the tougher games, which managers can motivate their teams, and how will BFS perform. For me Saints barring a miracle have gone, and Leicester & Leeds have really tough fixtures with Everton not far behind. Some pundits saying a win and a draw might be enough for the clubs above. However I am going to make a wager now. I think at the end of the final game we might just have VAR,through a bad decision, that will relegate a club, heaven forbid.Seems like every match day in the PL there are more and more poor decisions on the penalty front-both for those given, and also those not given. Lets hope thats not the case as we know how that would feel if it was us. The penalty given at Spurs was hard to stomach last year, but at least it was not on the last game

Re: Relegation From PL Decider
For me, we need the division’s biggest teams gone.
I despise Leeds but it’d probably be better for us if it were Everton and Leicester that dropped rather than Leeds, Saints and say, Forest?
We need teams like Fulham, Forest, Brentford, Forest etc…to give ourselves the very best opportunity of having a positive return.

We NEED Leeds down if they stay up the 49ers take over their club and that leads to another whale in the league they go down another 16 years of pain. Next Everton they will stay down for a long time due to financial ruin. Forrest are hamstrung for the next 3 years due to their ridiculous spending bender they can stay. Leicester have reached terminus point in regards to finances and possibility I don't see them having a long term future in the league even if they stay up they can stay. Southampton are gone no matter what.jdrobbo wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 6:07 pmFor me, we need the division’s biggest teams gone.

Calvert-Lewin could be key, there's a bloody good striker underneath that skirt, he's had two games now back from his lay off so should be ready to fire.
Vardy is still dangerous but Leicester fixtures aren't great.
Bamford is dreadful and Leeds' fixtures are horrendous.
Forest no idea.
West Ham safe

Not sure Everton fans would agree with you about DCLequinox wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 6:17 pmCalvert-Lewin could be key, there's a bloody good striker underneath that skirt, he's had two games now back from his lay off so should be ready to fire.

Going back to OP and VAR does anyone remember if VAR have called handball for keeper when kicking out of hands or throwing at edge of box. To me it’s like foul throws it seems to be ignored but if you can draw a line for offside you should be able for keepers not letting go before leaving box?

Will the 49ers pump huge sums of money into Leeds?HistoricalClaret wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 6:15 pmWe NEED Leeds down if they stay up the 49ers take over their club and that leads to another whale in the league they go down another 16 years of pain. It does seem that the deal is dependent upon Premier League survival, which probably explains yesterdays final roll of the dice.
Not sure why it’s gone on for so long though, the deal seems to have been on the cards for a long time now.

They're waiting for us to return to the Prem before starting that. It will be in the dying seconds of an away game at one of the "big" clubs when we're drawing, thus giving the "big" club a chance to win. Never forget that VAR is used to ensure life is easier for them.Coeus wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 8:22 pmGoing back to OP and VAR does anyone remember if VAR have called handball for keeper when kicking out of hands or throwing at edge of box. Re: Relegation From PL Decider
If Everton stay up this year they’ll be in the exact same situation next year, with the added possibility of a points deduction for their financial issues.
Poisonous Club.

Leeds and Everton pretty please.
Re: Relegation From PL Decider
Looking at the size and fan base of the 3 potentially relegated teams it will be even more difficult for teeny weeny clubs like Blackburn despite their over generous Indian benefactors and masters to get back into the Premier League.
