Are you watching it?

I’m out so can’t watch but would be interested to hear your thoughts on his performances. Hopefully another one that in a season or two will be pushing for our first team.

Just gone 2-0 Rangers and I'm drifting in and out

He's playing right back, and seems to be doing okay, but its not the role that a full back would play in our team

Doesn't appear to venture up the field much for starters

I just don't watch enough Scottish football to be sure, but I'd expect the current Rangers and Celtic teams to be 19th and 20th in the premier league, and the rest scattered in League One or worse

I'm no Rangers fan at all, but didn't they get to within a penalty kick of winning the Europa League last season? A tournament that we didn't even get out of the qualifiers. I'd say that's a pretty decent level.

I've watched him a few times this season on TV.

Not sure where he would fit in for us, apart from central midfield. Couldn't see him playing centre half or right back.

Yeah, but they massively over achieved I think (did watch a lot of their games)

Dropped off a cliff this year, and Celtic struggled in Europe as well

On the same token though, they scored 2, conceded 22 in 6 group games in the Champions League this season, including a 7-1 hammering by Liverpool at Ibrox.

That said they were impressive in beating PSV over 2 legs in the qualification round.

Everything depends on who you get in the qualifiers though. We had a tough fixture in each qualifying round and, but for a bizarre refereeing performance in the 2nd half in Greece and Sam Vokes's inexplicable headed miss with an open net in front of him after just 5 minutes of the home leg, we may have gone close too. Of course, we had Sean "I don't do cups" Dyche as manager who reserved his undoubted managerial talents for the league.

I'm not for one second suggesting we could have got as far as Rangers did, but I still think we got the toughest run of qualifying games we possibly could have done that year

We did. Matt Lowton in his leaving interview the club posted yesterday said the same.

It would have helped if we'd played our strongest side.

It would have helped if we had strengthed in the previous Jan and again in August, when we knew we were staying up again. Club never took it seriously inc Sean.

5 yellows in 13 apps in the Scottish League doesn’t leave a lot to be desired, if honest.

I’d probably be inclined to send out on loan again next season, preferably to a Championship club, then see where we’re at.

After Celtic match comment from Hibs manager Lee Johnson doesn’t sound to good for CJ “CJ is struggling. It looks like he's done his hamstring!” ☹️

Yet if you and everyone else looked at social media you would all know that, according to hibs fans, CJ Egan Riley has been a massive hit they all think he is absolute quality and an asset to their team. He has a chant and a lot of fan love there. Although the Hibs fans believe he is more of a six ,the position we have used him in, not a right back which is the role he is currently filling in their team.

Bad news for the lad.

The fact we were promoted will change things for quite a few lads this one being an example.

Back to Burnley in any case but obviously a period of rehab now for him. Hopefully won’t be too long into next season before he’s fit.
