..... guesting for the " Wrexham Red Dragons " in a $1m 7 a side event in North Carolina starting tonight ! The 32 teams are split into 8 qualifying groups of 4, Wrexham's include Como1907 ( with Fabregas ), US Women & Say Word FC ?? It's named " The Soccer Tournament " and it's live on You-tube !
No throw ins or slide tackles, smaller goals, rolling subs, 2 Twenty minute halves and a target score to clinch the win in injury time ... and I suspect hearing plenty of words like " Roster ", " Offense " and " Backfield " ...

I've had it on YouTube in the background while I work this evening. Wasn't sure what it was but noticed a really wide splattering of teams from all over.

Ok, the other rule change is that after 40 minutes, say you're winning 2-1, you then need to score a goal extra to seal the win, so games always finish with a goal ... your opponents could also score twice, and they would win 3-2, get it ? The other thing is that after 5 minutes of " Target " time, if no side has won, then each side has to take a player off so it's 6-6, if still no goal after another five minutes, it goes to 5-5 and so on ....
The attention span of the average American is one of many reasons that we don't let Americans make rules ....

I could only read the first 2 lines of your post before I zoned out, can you recap it with less words please?

I've always said this is far better than penalties, take a player off then it's down to tactics and fitness

In their 2nd game of the day, Wrexham beat US Women 12-0, with 46 year old Lee Trundle scoring 4 ... the US Women's keeper actually had a blinder !
Elsewhere, Dallas Utd have been ejected from the tournament after " vile racist abuse " was directed at West Ham player Frank Nouble, causing the game to be suspended ...

Liam Grimshaw is also playing for Wrexham. He was at Greenock Morton last season where he won player of the year and players player. He has been offered a new contract there but assessing his options.
Liam is a massive Claret, so for me Wrexham have 3 Clarets in the squad. The set-up looks amazing.

Not a player I'd heard about, not too much of a leap to imagine that Wrexham might be using this to take a look at him, with a view to a deal for next season ...

You've got to wonder when a US Commentator uses the word " nimble " and a 46 year old Lee Trundle in the same sentence, he's built like John Parkin in his last season ...

You sure he didn't say "nimby".
