I can only imagine the Foos didn’t headline ahead of Royal Blood and Arctic Monkeys as they couldn’t be properly confirmed whilst they were replacing Taylor Hawkins.

Anyway, tough for Royal Blood to follow them and the Arctics somehow making it look difficult to follow Royal Blood.

People have given Stormzy and Kendrick and Kanye lots of $hit in recent years for headlining Glastonbury (I remember the Glasto threads on here) because hip-hop and rap isn't five dudes with some guitars and whatnot, and people think Glastonbury is a five guys with some guitars only festival, but at least those I mention innovate. Kendrick had ballet dancing in his set last year, it was so cool. For a moment in time he made ballet cool.

AM...first 2 albums were decent...nothing but dogshit for the last 15 years... Its a bugger when your tribute band (Reytons) are way superior.

AM was good, better than favourite... in my opinion but the last two were dire.

alex turner seems to be morphing into mike flowers.

They’ve not been good tonight, 10 years ago they were amazing but this has been disappointing. I’m not sure they’ll care though.

Suck it and See always seems to get a bit of a kicking but it’s probably the album I listen to most by them.

He is! It won't just be a few lines he's on. After cancelling Dublin, apparently hasn't spoken a word for a week, didn't even soundcheck tonight. Gone on and seeing how they get on by all accounts. All things considered, he's doing well.

He sounds fine voice wise, was just hoping they’d change the setlist up a bit, I’ve felt all this tour that there’s a bit of a lull in the middle of their live shows.

Girlfriend went to one of the Hillsborough nights and that one seemed a bit more up tempo and feisty from what she's said. And they did A Certain Romance, which is rare.

I went Leeds fest last year, Friday at Manc this year and the Friday Sheffield when they played A certain romance. The Sheffield one in comparison to the previous two was amazing. A certain romance live was amazing.

Don’t think half the people commenting here are aware how absolute **** the sound is through a TV, your hearing about 50% of what’s being played at the actual festival, most of it is cut out.

The crowd are singing along word for word and full for a start. Can’t hear half the instruments or any of the supporting vocals.

I saw them at the start of the month in Manchester and they were excellent.

Your amps/speakers can’t play what’s not there, the crowd/instruments/vocals aren’t being broadcast in full. They don’t just stick a microphone on the stage

Dancefloor... remember hearing it for the first time on the top deck of a bus going through Burnley, late night Radio 1 show, can't remember which. Blew me away. It'll be played in fifty/sixty/seventy years.

Really poor setlist from Arctic Monkeys tonight. Think he’s done a good job considering the laryngitis but expected them to pull out a few older hits at Glastonbury. Oh well, I can still be smug in the fact that I’ve seen their best set list in years live in last few weeks

Well that was painful, glad I didn’t get tickets for the tour. Mind you I am of the opinion the last two albums have been dire. They seemed to have turned into a band you’d hear in a cocktail bar.

And why so long between songs.

Macca was amazing partially because he got Bruce and wotsit from the wotsit who used to be in Nirvana and some stunning videos.

Sensational show ......

Elton will no doubt put a great show on but I don't think his body or work is the same.
I disagree. Elton has rarely put a foot wrong whereas Macca, in my opinion, is massively overrated. So little of his stuff I have liked since the Beatles. But each to his own.

Aye, I was being a tad hyperbolic in the comparison. Axl Rose is fat 'n' old and G'n'R haven't been relevant for years.

Classic messageboard stuff. Macca is overrated 😂. Puts into context some of the anti-Dyche sentiment on here! Some people refuse to accept greatness just so they can try to appear clever!

Paul McCartney is influential, but that doesn't mean he's good. If the Beatles are the godfathers of modern pop music, has anyone considered the possibility that the absolute state of modern pop music can technically trace a line through to Paul McCartney? Just saying like. He's responsible for it all. In a way Paul McCartney actually wrote wet ass pussy.
