If they don’t want supporters there .. then why announce it until it’s kicked-off ? I remember being at a friendly years ago when we had a poor side and the staff were gutted at how many were there from Burnley because of the amount of abuse they’d had on tour (Worcester and Gloucester) the season before.
I was at both those friendlies - 1989 I think - we lost 1-3 at Gloucester & 0-3 at Worcester. Friendlies notwithstanding, the abuse was justified!

I know, the millions they've spent and are going to spend to make game days more enjoyable for fans, the millions they've spent improving the side so that the fans can enjoy watching the team.
But let's massively over react because they've failed to inform the fans about a couple of friendlies, that haven't even been arranged yet!

They’re training in Lisbon on the second Portugal trip - yeh it would have been good - I wouldn’t have bothered with it but I’ve been to the stadium in Albufeira a couple of times it’s decent
Any idea what dates they are in Lisbon?

Maybe you and spike can comfort each other during your whinging at the club due to not announcing when the pre season friendlies will be, games that you wouldn't and won't be going to

The only way Spike won't be going is if they are behind closed doors and that is the need to know reason. Certain Clarets like to jolly out to friendlies as mini trips. The veil of secrecy make it difficult to plan. That's the frustration here! The nearer the announcement to the date played makes it a little harder and more expensive. As mentioned many times it is about the communication. If we cannot find anyone to play us then say so but that cannot be the case!

Sporting CP vs Genk 19/07 so is it possible we will be playing them in Portugal?

Could be a good chance we play either or around the 22nd July region then looking at both clubs fixtures they’ve already got - both have a 6 day gap between playing one another until their next games.

I didn't mention you directly not being at games, just said to be comforted. Maybe an arm round the shoulder would help you not feel the need to whinge at the owners for anything no matter how weird it is.

Not sure where a game could fit in looking at their fixtures.

Lisbon play Genk 18/07, Real Sociedad 24/07, Villarreal 30/07 and Everton 05/08 in friendlies.

Genk play Lisbon 18/07 then start Champs League and the Belgium league.

If you check the Sky website we are the only club with no friendlies, it says TBC. If we are not playing any so be it! If they are behind close doors, so be it! If there are current logistical or financial reasons, maybe. But what is the secret? Oh well we have Citeh to look forward to first up playing a 1-1-8 formation so we will all be happy then! For anyone to question why the fans are questioning the status is pure bonkers! We are all supposed to be as one!

I did. the first Cork trip in 2013 and Shamrock in 2017. The best trips for me were those to Austria under Cotterill with us playing two games and at some superb little grounds. Fantastic area too to visit.

I believe we tried to get into this Premier League American tournament this year but were knocked back.

Maybe this is a piece of good news being held back until we’ve had some bad news (like a gambling sponsor, for example)?

Hopefully not far away from hearing some news anyway.
