I'll start with Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull

The music is still great but the female backing band is so cheesy. Old man, young women. Puke!
Off to see Ian Anderson at York Minster this Christmas - looking forward to it. I've seen him at Ripon, Bradford and Durham Cathedrals previously.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Sat Jul 15, 2023 6:00 pmWell, someone had to do it.![]()

Seriously?
Exactly the point of the thread.
Well done...but your just a bellendboatshed bill wrote: ↑Sat Jul 15, 2023 9:33 pmExactly the point of the thread.
Early Tull is great, but if we follow them now we are just living in the past![]()
Ok.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Sat Jul 15, 2023 9:55 pmWell, I think you've just summed yourself up with that one![]()
That probably isn't about the music, though.

Agree Alex Turner has fallen down the rabbit hole a bit, but I think he has slightly more credit in the bank than Liam Fray.
I saw Morrissey in Leeds last week. He was fantastic.
I was there too and yes he was brilliant.CardyTheClaret wrote: ↑Sun Jul 16, 2023 10:13 amI saw Morrissey in Leeds last week. He was fantastic.
Morrissey is a genius...end of.
Is this the same Courteeners that play Manchester every year and that’s it. Nobody outside of the North cares about them. AM have always been more than a “lads” band and have had ambitions to be far more than that. Liam Fray makes the same music now as he did when he was 19.Cooclaret wrote: ↑Sat Jul 15, 2023 10:48 pmArctic Monkeys, and specifically Alex Turner.
What an idiot that bloke has turned into. Well and truly bitten the hand that feeds him.
I think Liam Fray (Courteneers) needs to take him outside and slap some sense into him. Make a great album, play it on tour, give the people what they want.
I think they’ve played all over the country and internationally this year and in other years. They play music that their fans and others want to hear. They made a brilliant album (St Jude) and they know that and play it. They also tour new material, and are writing currently for the new albums. So, I think you’re off the mark.Dyched wrote: ↑Sun Jul 16, 2023 11:19 amIs this the same Courteeners that play Manchester every year and that’s it. Nobody outside of the North cares about them. Absolutely nothing wrong with trying to evolve rather than being a poor imitation of what you once were?
There’s 50k people that would disagree who went to Heaton Park.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Sun Jul 16, 2023 1:05 pmAbsolutely nothing wrong with trying to evolve rather than being a poor imitation of what you once were?
AT is 37, clearly a different person than the one that wrote ‘Whatever people say I am, that’s what I’m not’ and thats perfectly understandable.
The courteeners are pure shite mate.
