Can’t beat a night infront of the TV with a few beers watching concerts.

Stop Making Sense - Talking Heads
American Utopia - David Byrne
Almost anything on KEXP live - their quality control is insane.
Tiny Desk Concerts.
Look for Young Fathers. Getting lots of plaudits and lots of talk of them being one of the beat live banda about at present.
More documentary but a really unique one is the Edgar Wright film called The Sparks Brothers. I'd go as far as describing that one as essential viewing for any music lover.

Love the KEXP and Tiny Deska stuff
Probs not everyone's cup of tea but the Macklemore shows on KEXP are brilliant

I was mesmerised when I found these 'Ox Cam' videos of John Entwistle from The Who live at Shepperton Studios.

off topic as such - did you see the reaction when Eminem popped up on stage during the Ed Sheeran concert in Detroit the other day - there are "pop stars" and there are "music superstars". It was nuts

Try the Augustine's on KEXP 2016. It's the background to some big events in my family. William Macarthy is explosive and Eric a cool balance to him.

YouTube is brilliant for live performances.
Favourite venues seem to be Royal Albert Hall and Barrowlands.

Billy Joel's only concert in Europe this year was at Hyde Park, a couple of weeks ago.
Fantastic night and a taster of our experience here:

Beastie boys in Glasgow 1999
I went to the Manchester gig with my dad as a treat for doing well In my projected GCSE grades… safe to say the projection didn’t see through

Anything by The roots live is always a good watch.

Kurt’s vocals on Where Did You Sleep Last Night are incredible and , in light of what happened not long afterwards, I always find that performance in particular just so powerful.

Kurt was what Kurt was because of his lifestyle not inspite of it.
Nevertheless, such a shame he left us so young.

Excellent shout. But I couldn't comment on this without also recommending the unplugged sets by Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains. Both, in my opinion better than the Nirvana unplugged.

Depeche Mode 101
U2 Rattle and Hum.
Both bands were at their pomp, conquering the American Market touring their latest, and some might say best albums, Music for the masses and Joshua Tree.

Chuck Berry in Manchester, 2004.
Sneaked a camera into this gig and only came across pics/footage on an old computer last year.
Only a couple of minutes long and not great quality but it may be the only record of this performance.

Seen The Chemical Brothers multiple times and was there in 2019. They're always brilliant but that show really stood out. Incredible evening.

They also do an incredible version The Man Who Stole the World…possibly better than the original.

We do a lot of YouTube watching at weekends after a few drinks. Fantastic but too many to mention. A lot of Nirvana, Motörhead, Guns and Roses and Foo Fighters for my wife and Yes, Genesis, Van der Graff and various prog for me. But just about anything really that is ‘music’ as opposed to ‘pop’, although a bit of Ed Sheeran is okay.

John Martyn - Hurt in Your Heart:
https://youtu.be/Uvg_4XIZ5cA - heartbreakingly raw. Also has a cracking solo, this time on guitar.
Bon Iver - Michicant: Live at Sydney Opera House:
https://youtu.be/BMue0xUbV5g - the sax solo towards the end is absolutely out of this world
Justin Vernon & S. Carey - I Can't Make You Love Me (Bonnie Raitt Cover)-
https://youtu.be/Vw-4zHOhnKM - two incredible vocal performances
