Has the credentials... probably.
But where would you play him?
Coming off the bench he could play on either wing, and if the system is fluid, maybe in an advanced midfield role. Ideal for us.
According to wiki:
"He typically plays as a wide midfielder. He is right-footed, but has regularly played on both right and left wings, often cutting inside. He has also occasionally played in the centre behind a lone striker."

With an injury to either Benson or Zaroury (or a dip in form) he could find himself starting though.

Redmond has a roughly 1 in 10 game goal return, except in Turkey (1 in 5)
Tella 17 in 39 for BFC

Not really.
Much pacier and more direct and - importantly - 4 years younger.

I don’t know Bill , where would you ?

Would be surprised to see him start many games and from past games he would be able to take men on from wide positions whatever side of the field Kompany put him on.
His experience would be invaluable because he knows what to expect from PL defenders and how to beat them. If Kompany asked him to attack from a deeper position or even centrally I’m even confident he could do that.

I would not rule out him have a decent run of games if that situation arose for him

Yes, the 4 years younger I accept.
But that description by no means describes Tella's play.

Maybe I'm just a bit cynical about bringing players into a PL squad who may be on a bit of a downward trajectory career wise.

Dara Costelloe played 2 games in the Premier league when we were last up.Definately showed potential and highly rated by Irish coaches.
I spoke to an Irish coach a few years ago who assured me that Jimmy Dunne would play at the highest level in world football.
We also got suckered into believing that Nathan Collins was a world beater, but has looked like a bit of a liability during his time here and at wolves.
Both are still young obviously, but I've personally given over listening to irish coaches

Absolutely but as far as I know he has pretty much been free of injury and is still only 29.
The Turkish move for a year is a strange one but I’m sure Kompany has got to the bottom of that.
If anyone tells me he has been making guest appearances on Talksport I could just as quickly change my mind

There is a chance Redmond will score more in our system. Look at the goals scored by our wingers at the back post.

From what I've seen of Costelloe he's going to struggle to make it in the lower leagues, never mind do a job in the Prem.
