Crawley having a great series.

333 runs at 55s

Opening the batting in England as well, superb.

This is quite staggering.

I’ve never seen Cummins looks so utterly devoid of ideas - Smith is looking irate at him as well.

Crawley on drive, off drive for consecutive fours against Pat Cummins.

Unbelievable stuff.

They look like they don't know what's hit them. Hope we can make it count and the weather doesn't come to their rescue as at the moment that looks like their only hope.

Great stuff is this.

Not sure if you're joking or not but it would be the stupidest decision of all time.

We are currently batting in the best conditions of the Test, with the fastest outfield. Batters with no pressure on at all.

Declaring could bring the loss in play as we would have to bat in damp conditions.

Insightful Crawley interview for those who still have doubts over his role, and what he’s being asked to do.

I think that was fair enough. Needed the wickets intact to be able to push on tomorrow. Another couple of quick wickets would have left us a bit vulnerable.

Just commenting on what was happening, not criticising.

Showed how easy Crawley and Root had found it.

Well played today England . If we get 200 in front by lunch tomorrow , it'll be tricky for the Aussies with the ball keeping low .

Been again today and the Aussies were very demoralised. Even their section of fans numbers dwindled after tea. Thought we were really going to push on after 5pm but we appeared to take our foot off the pedal.

The 200 partnership between Crawley and Root was made with the lowest number of balls in a test match at Old Trafford, and by England, and by Australia and actually by any test side, at any test match, in the history of cricket!

Judging by the forecast it’s not going to be the perfect batting conditions England enjoyed yesterday. If Starc gets the old ball to start reversing in the changed atmospheric conditions it may not all be plain sailing.
Funny old game cricket and always expect the unexpected.

Aussie seamers look knackered again. Starc uncharacteristic half volley, full toss dispatched by Brook for consecutive fours

What’s the plan here - get to 200 ahead then declare?
