So no keeper on the bench. No Benson or JBG.
I'd guess that VK needs to have a good look at Trafford and doesn't intend changing keepers.
I'm sure that as it's a friendly we'd be allowed a replacement gk in the event of any injury to Trafford.

Can't understand why people are getting hung on on players missing and the likes - it's a pre-season game three weeks away from the start of the season

1-0 for KRC Genk. Trafford misses a cross from Trésor and goes under the ball. Ait El Hadj can take a shot, but his shot is deflected off the line. Sor is there like the chickens to kick in the rebound

Looks a decent enough pre season side and giving everyone a bit of rotation . We’d of course expect this side to shape with maybe 4/5 changes before the season .

No JayRod?
I posted last week I had written Jay off, because of his worrying amounts of games lost through injury or illness in the past 2-3 years, and very much a bonus when available and playing. Having no back up keeper seems strange-maybe there will be some news on Muric moving on or maybe not being happy with the Trafford record signing. However not to have neither him or Vigoroux on the team sheet is puzzling. I hear Peacock Farrell could be going abroad-good luck to him for wanting regular first team football. He is making the right choice

Do we need a GK on the bench if we intend to give Trafford 90mins

Of course it's strange to have only 1 keeper on the teamsheet. Even stranger to criticise it being pointed out.

Genk much further along their pre season with a Champions League game on Tuesday so unsurprising we are struggling a little. Makes such a huge difference, in 2 weeks our players will be a lot fitter.

No problem in wanting to give him the whole game, infact its not a bad idea, but believe it or not even goalies get injured or ill and go off (just ask Muric)

And I'm pretty sure in that case, being a friendly, we could bring a GK on.

44' Trésor sits behind a free kick, his swinger just crosses Trafford's goal. Meanwhile, Kompany's assistant Craig Bellamy turns yellow for protest.

Only natural to worry about missing players. Not all of us are privy to the goings on and rely on the team sheet to find out who is present.

Close to Brentford apparently.

We may have wanted him, but I don’t think it was ever realistic.

It's a friendly. They will all be at different fitness levels as some came back later. If they are fit then I'm sure they will all get minutes pre season. It's like QAnon on here sometimes.

How about making AM sit on the bench fully kitted knowing he's very unlikely to get on, bearing in mind it's likely every other squad member will get some minutes?

A six and a half foot goalkeeper NOT catching a lofted ball in the box SHOULD be getting plenty of attention, regardless of his name.

It really amazes me:
We've had alcoholics who sometimes couldn't kick or head a football,
Malingerers who couldn't get off the treatment table,
Has-beens eeking out one last payed contract,
All get sympathy.
A goalkeeper who has for the most part done OK gets the stick given to Muric...
Nuts.
