Taking all emotional bias out of the picture, if you just read those sentences on their own merit it sounds fairly close to a textbook definition of contract tampering. We all know players are tapped up all the time, but something public like this, even done it jest, is misguided at best.forzagranata wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2023 4:35 pmPace's daughter has been contacting people on social media asking them to post '#freetella' content as part of a campaign to, in her words, "persuade Southampton to loosen their grip of him"
The chairman of our club then shared the video.
With the sentence rephrased to remove all trace of the names of clubs and players (an emotional bias which makes football fans stupid at times), the sentence reads like this: The daughter of the chairman of football Club 'A' contacted people on social media asking them to post #freeplayerX content as part of a campaign to, in her words, "persuade Club 'B' to loosed their contractual grip of him; the chairman of Club 'A' then shared the video. If there's anyone who can't see how this is, at best, unprofessional, then you've detached yourself from all sense of objectivity.
