There’s a bit of a queue forming in the medical suite from what I’ve heard.
Hopefully thehistorylecturer can confirm?

What's everyone's guess on the number of incomings we'll have before the window closes? I'm thinking 4 more including Berge.

That seems reasonable. Expecting about the same number to leave too.

I suspect Wout and Darko may already be out the door, I'd have said Bastien too but he was in the media day which has made me second guess that one. Not sure who else.

Don't think Obefemi will go anywhere in this window. Hoping he makes the step up once recovered.
Still wouldn't be surprised to see Charlie, Jay and Brownhill leave once adequate replacements are in. Don't want any of them to go but wouldn't surprise me. (Although Jay may be moved across towards the coaching side)

I for one would be gutted if THB went to dirty Leeds. He’s far too classy for that shower of sh**e. I accept he needs regular first team football, but hopefully not with them.

Some people need to have someone to dislike in the team and Brownhill is that player.

Could it be that he’s a saleable asset with a dwindling contract? Alternatively, perhaps his performances in our last season in the Premier League are being considered.
Having a view that isn’t towing the party line doesn’t mean that a player is being targeted.
It’s a big season for Brownhill, if he stays. It’ll be interesting to compare and contrast this season to 21/22.

I have a sneaky feeling we may yet get Maatsan back on loan if he signs a new contract
Lewis Hall is joining Palace on loan which perhaps moves Maatsen further up the pecking order at Chelsea

I would tend to agree with that , with our squad as it is now. If and when Berge and Ramsey sign , then maybe not...

We only have Cullen, Brownhill, Cork and soon Berge who you could trust in the deeper of the three midfield roles. No way Brownhill goes.
Bastien, yes (and Cork at the end of this season).

In the interest of keeping our wage bill down the players we would not miss, and who VK is likely to seldom use with this wealth of talent coming in-Jay, Cork, JBG, Bastian, Weghorst, Taylor (I am confident a LB is coming) could all go. They will be on big wages with possible exception of Bastian. No room for sentiments

If we can read into this for what we want, it will be quite a day. Benson signing a new contract, Berge signing in and Weghorst gone, hopefully for good.

I’d be very surprised if Brownhill leaves. He knows the VK system inside out now and if you remember back to the start of last season he was probably the first to pick up on what VK wanted and began the season bang in form. He’s a trusted soldier and that counts for a lot. The Mainz game showed us he’s never a deeper midfielder for us, but as an 8 he’s more than fine.
He’ll have a job on if he wants to be an automatic pick again though looking at our likely options, but that’s a good thing. He’s the sort of lad who will get on with it and not start sulking all over Instagram or whatever.

Perhaps slightly surprising he’s not in the squad at all, but yeah when they’re in a position to turn down £45m for Lavia, it’s probably time to move on.

Medical booked for 2:13am at Burnley General according to my mate who works as a cleaner on the minor injuries unit.
Don't bother asking for a link because only my mate and GetIntoEm know about it.

Tella doesn’t start in our team either. And no way is he worth more than Brownhill ( yes I know he’s younger)

Huh?
Tella is worth more, how is that even debatable.
I said it earlier but players are only worth what someone is willing to pay. No one is paying remotely close to what Tella would take.

Not sure what the deadline is. We’ll have to play what we’ve got against City and hopefully have more targets in for Villa. Not sure any new signings now would make a big difference against City (pessimistic I know).
