Judging by VK’s answer re. Trafford at the end of his presser I’ll be surprised if it’s not Muric.

The price we paid suggests we intend to start Trafford because it'd be completely insane to spend that much on a No2 GK, but I'd personally go Muric every day. The odd lapse in concentration he can be prone to is worth it for everything else he does.

I think he’ll keep faith in a lot of last season’s players in the first game and for that reason I think Muric will play

Muric

Kinda odd to pay that price for Trafford as reserve GK, but the shirt belongs to Muric

I might be proved wrong but would expect Muric will start the season as our number one.

There has been some hysteria about Trafford coming in as number one because of his fee. I think that is largely irrelevant.

VK’s style is not to recruit a keeper with the potential to be not quite as good or the same as Music, but to recruit one with more potential, like he is doing with the all the other positions and is open about this with his players.

It’s then up to the players to demonstrate who deserves the shirt the most and at the moment that must be Muric but how long he remains the best is up to how both progress. It’s a tough business.

Muric every day of the week (including Fridays).

His performance against Benfica was an outrageous continuation of his displays in the second half of last season.

I trust the management team that Trafford will get to Muric's level and beyond in the future, but they're on different planets as things stand.

I think there’s more to Trafford’s alleged fee, a little bit of bending the rules by city on ffp

I wonder if VK wishes he had spent the £19m on Maatsen instead, i would have prefered him back tbh.

Time will tell whether Trafford can make the step up.

Muric for two reasons:

1. It’s possible that the occasion might be too much for the younger keeper. First experience of a full house, Premier League game - against very familiar ex-teammates i.e. too much respect.

2. Kompany won’t want to risk a blow to Trafford’s confidence in the event of a high scoring defeat.

Muric- experience and vital that we look after the ball when we've got it

For me the most disappointing aspect of the cup defeat at the Etihad was how we wasted possession when the ball was with BPF

You don’t see Miami benching Messi because their existing winger played well against FC no marks last season.

Aye, that 6th place finish in the division below the one that we absolutely walked with Muric in net.

Surely you’re not serious?
