To be fair, I think yours is. Leisure is actually questioning what the previous negative experience had to do with the pub. He was defending it.

Hate this board at the moment. Full of reactionary nonsense from people who can’t comprehend..
I’m Pete’s mate. I meant the call comment he was replying to

Bouncers in general dont give a toss about drugs as long as there isnt any trouble. They want an easy time

The staff who work at the pub are busy being staff

Be hard to change
That's true it's not worth the hassle, it's not unheard of that the bouncers can be open to turning a blind eye providing they get freebie samples, I'm not suggesting this is the case with the bouncers in charge of the security here, it's accepted norm in some pubs as long as you do things relatively discreetly you are pretty much left alone.

Love the Dyche pre-match and I know how much Justine and the team put into to making it a success but…. the smell of weed outside is awful. Don’t know the answer but I was near JJ Watts on Friday when he stopped in and even he winced at the stink.
In fairness to JJ, half of America smells of weed these days.

Justine is doing absolute wonders to that bar. She’s a credit to the town. I’ve seen first hand the type of people she deals with. She’s pro active and gets sh*t done.

Yes, because it’s legal? My state included. And because it’s legal, no one acts in anyway like those described above.

The pub has clearly changed for the better 100%. Can you imagine the likes of Neville and Carragher popping in when it was the Prinny Royal?

Not a place i like to frequent. Always on edge thinking I’m going to get side swiped by a drugged idiot. Always seems to be busy though.

I'm not one to frequent a pub for a rematch drink, and I remember thinking that the Royal Dyche rebrand was a bit tacky and unimaginative.

However, it's since become a bit of tourist spot as part of the matchday experience. Whenever you watch an away fan vlog on YouTube, the sign will no doubt feature in the build-up.

Its tidied up the surrounding image of Turf Moor and it seems that the Princess Royal days are long gone which was just your local boozer.

From what I've seen in the media, it look more family friendly and has moved with the times of the modern pub.

The pub will be fighting a losing battle with the normality of people using drugs these days though.

Allegedly spends all day working with criminals, yet is scared to go in a pub that a Sky Sports pundit team will go in.

I think the landlord/lady has done a tremendous job in transforming the reputation of the pub and making it a cool place to visit if you're a Burnley fan. A masterclass in knowing your target audience and providing exactly what they want

Justine has done an amazing job,ok some of the punters may be a bit rough and ready but theres no more punch ups in there than anywhere else in town and its definitely one of the best places to watch bands now that the Talbots sadly no more. Keeps a good pint of real ale at a very reasonable price too. Whats not to like

I think by the amount of people that are going in the Dyche on match days, shows what a great job the owners have done, and are still doing.
Coming from out of town, I think that the Dyche and Oxford are brilliant, and add to the match day experience.
Well done to all concerned.

Always meet in the Dyche pre match. Good beer, prices and service even when really busy.

Justine deserves the freedom of Burnley for what she has done to that pub and the positive media it’s brought to the town.

That's some award - to win best in Britain.

Justine and her team have done a remarkable job in transforming the pub and giving our town and football club some really positive publicity. A huge well done.
