Rather have their way of supporting the club than the those who find booing the knee acceptable
They might get booed next time they are over, with screams of "ya plastics" from the stand

Think some are reading too much into this or taking offence at something and nothing. They have invested into the Premier League. If you are young fans of the clubs on the half and half scarf it broadens the appeal further and draws more attention to our club. Not a bad thing. Stay local with a local mentality or go for wider global appeal. My son called the tall guy over and we didn’t even notice the scarf. He came over and was great. I don’t care about the scarf and I’m glad they’ve invested.
1) They invested in Burnley not the PL
2) You can think big without losing sight of what made you a club that’s punched above it’s weight in the first place. It’s not one of the other
Ultimately you grow a dedicated fan base by remaining in the big time and being successful.
I think our heritage is something that’s marketable and is something that JJ has really made sure he brings up when he’s been on air on TV etc in the US - similar in a way to how people have fallen in love with Wrexham because of the soul behind the club.
I don’t think you can grow a dedicated, long term fanbase by being a complete homogenised ‘franchise’. Good for the short term perhaps.
Why is football/premier league so popular in the first place? I believe it’s because of the authenticity, it’s important that we don’t lose that.

Agree but it’s not a binary choice

We've done the "Burnley fans as owners" thing though, haven't we, and the consensus was that it ran its course.
This is where we are

If we want new owners/investors, particularly ones with influence, we’re going to have to accept that precisely none of them will be lifelong Burnley fans. And most will have some historical allegiances assuming they have any interest in the sport/PL whatsoever (and in many ways I’d prefer they did). So that’s par for the course.
I don’t think the other scarf look is one I’d recommend tbh, but all I’m really bothered about is what they do going forward to promote Burnley.
And on that note I logged on to Instagram today and saw we’d grown about 40k followers since I last looked. Not sure if that’s the City match/return to the PL but that’s as big a follower growth as I’ve ever seen, so they may just be helping us a lot.

Who cares. The publicity they will give us is massive. I’ve been to Old Trafford on free work tickets. Been a Burnley fan for 45 years.

Not so sure if honest. They get really low engagement on their Twitter and Instagram accounts having had a more detailed look especially for the number of followers - could have a lot of bots following them.
I mean, our very own Vizeh gets more engagement on his Twitter.
YouTube a different ball game admittedly but it all pales in comparison to the actual match day viewers around the globe - I also question how many that tune into the odd DP vid (don’t google that) are likely to be drawn to the club from it.
Think they benefit from this just as much if not more than BFC does.
Think it’s a little different to what JJ Watt has been doing when on various platforms and how he’s approached basically being a club ambassador.
Just my opinion

If they have chosen to invest in the club I have no problem with it. It might work it might not. It hasn’t cost the club anything

Pretty sure any return to the prem and a quite high profile one at that , Netflix / VK etc would increase all social media followers hugely ?Just seen DP on Twitter at Man Utd wearing half n half scarves saying what a great end to their trip and an UTC # at the end , yanks and football eh …

I don’t think hitching anything and everything to the club is a good idea either.
The kids shirt sponsorship made a lot of sense not sure about the rest.

You’re not sure about these people investing in the club and giving us exposure to their 60 million subscribers just on YouTube alone?

Did you read any of what I actually wrote or just want to play gotcha?
Their Instagram engagement rate is 0.38% which is really low for an account that’s meant to have a dedicated following - JJs for contrast is up at 4.26%
And again, it’s not all about views, it’s quality of the views.
YouTube is admittedly higher but their average view count is a lot lower than the number of their subscriber count and it fair pales in comparison to the sort of view numbers that Friday nights match will have had.

They’ve had 16 billion views…2nd most subscribed sports channel in the USA
What’s their TikTok view count?
Insta isn’t all that at times, it depends on the content creators and the audience they’re trying to get
Younger people are more likely to be on TikTok and YouTube than Facebook and insta
You don’t like it, I get that, but ultimately it will be good for the club overtime

I don’t really particularly agree with the argument of all clicks automatically = good.
I think it was a good fit for the kids shirt, bit skeptical of more if honest.
For example I don’t think we should hitch the club to any ‘brand’ just because we can.
I’ll try to remain open minded about it all, not liked what I’ve seen so far.

The club isn’t being hitched to just any brand
They’re specifically looking at brands and investors that can help grow the club
