Werder Bremen v Bayern Munich
Sky Sports Action 7.30pm KO, First game of the season.
Harry Kane starts for Bayern, how many will he get this season ?
Just watching the coverage some atmosphere, the ground was full half an hour before kick off, a lot different to England it’s still half empty with 10 mins to go till kick off.

I really enjoy the Bundesliga, usually a great atmosphere and plenty of goals, hope that's the case tonight I've got a tenner at 5/4 on both teams to score and Bayern to win. Would love Harry Kane to get the winner for the icing on the cake.

Re: Werder Bremen v Bayern Munich
It’s much easier to score goals in the Bundesliga than it is in the Premier League so if Kane settles he should score a good number.

Didn’t take him long to get his first assist. Just the 4 minutes.

I love the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2. The atmosphere's generally are much better. I don't know, fans just seem to be much more actively engaged. Don't watch as much of it as I'd like though. Kane should bag a fair few.

I reckon that's mostly cos you can drink at your seat in Germany.ClaretsPadiham wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2023 7:20 pmJust watching the coverage some atmosphere, the ground was full half an hour before kick off, a lot different to England it’s still half empty with 10 mins to go till kick off.

It is much cheaper, and the support is more working class than in England in the EPL.

Only saw the first half hour. Thought Sane looked really good, took his first goal well - nicely timed strike just a bit too early for the goalkeeper to react well and right in the side corner.
What I noticed was how poor the ref was but how accepting the players were of most of the decisions. Many of the 'fouls' were nothing of the sought, just a player falling over and making a meal of it with out any contact whatsoever.
Turned over to watch the Metz - Marseille match where the latter's forward line was Aubameyang, Sarr and N'diaye. Again only saw the first half hour but only Sarr impressed a bit and he set up the first goal.

You can get a season ticket at Eintracht Frankfurt, in the standing section for €190 as well. Insanely cheap.

Re: Werder Bremen v Bayern Munich
German football hasn't (yet?) become sanitised the way it has in England with the huge corporate involvement, massive sums of money and the inexorable drift sway from the "ordinary" person in the street who in many cases doesn't feel properly involved anymore and often can't afford it anyway. German supporters are much more involved the way all supporters in England used to be with their clubs, but which in many places has simply become a sanitised, plastic experience where the average, noisy "fanatic" isn't really welcome anymore. Burnley, thankfully, isn't yet like that I feel. Good!!!
