Everton used 3 subs so it had better be a concussion sub or no more allowed.
Not watching but you are allowed 5 subs but only three occasions when you can put subs on
Is it that they have already had three occasions to use a sub?

Absolute shocker of a result for Everton and Dyche.
Was that another Keane error too?

No matter how we do this season, and I expect us to struggle (but hope we'll have enough), I will remind myself it could be much, much worse and I could still have to endure this miserable shower.
The attitude of the Everton players here reminds me of us in 2021/22.

Villa / Everton will be interesting and a closely fought match I reckon.
Everton very good last week and defensively sound as you would expect. Calvert-Lewin back today so they might score.
Villa very poor defensively last week and without Mings and Buendia.
Bookies seem to strongly fancy Villa, but I think a draw may well be the outcome.
If either team loses then we could be out of the bottom 3 by Friday evening.
Wow, could this guy have been anymore wrong!?
Absolute codswallop.

Next game for the Toffees is home to Wolves.
Come unstuck in that one and SD’s position will be almost untenable.

Must have been a concussion sub but this one seems a bit late. I presume it's for an injury.

Looking at the expressions on Everton supporters faces (those that did not have heads buried in their hands) tells you this is not a happy fan base.

Not sure this is good for us, as Everton are imploding too early and might appoint a manager who could revive them.

They all blame Bill Kenright for the problems and want him to leave the club.

Think I'll be shipping Pickford out of my fantasy team. I thought they'd at least be solid at the back after a Dyche summer.

Nothing new there, although it ain't Bill Kenwright's fault Everton can't pass a ball or defend a simple ball into the box.

If we’d played Luton, I think we would be in the top 10 and feeling quite happy with our start.

If they lose both of their next 2 matches (Wolves and Sheffield United) he will be fortunate to make end of September.

They could have sold Pickford instead of giving him a new contract. Onana was sought after at the end of last season and they were looking at around £50m for him but don't want to sell. If they had sold both of those they would have had enough money to bring in two or three decent players, a striker being one.

Best not to play them as promoted teams are always up for it their first home game.

Absolute codswallop.
I think it was a reasonable summary of the situation pre-match, that many would have gone along with.
Villa do have injury problems, Everton did play well last week and Calvert -Lewin was in the starting line-up.
Nobody, absolutely nobody, could have predicted that Everton would be so abysmal. It was the most unlike Dyche performance that I've ever seen.
Hands up, I got it wrong today, but if we can't make predictions on a football forum without being mocked, then maybe it's time to stop posting and just leave it to others.

Why let it bother you? It actually makes you look daft when you over react to people taking the mick. Just laugh it off and say you dropped a clanger and tune in for more of the same next week.

Wasn't going to dignify your posts by replying, but just to point out that laughing it off and admitting to getting it totally wrong is precisely what I did in my earlier post.
Why you see the need to continue this I really don't know. How about playing the ball and not the man?
What's your predictions for next weekend? Do you reckon you'll get them all spot on?
