If HS2 could dig as deep and as quick as you it'd be in Glasgow by now.
Trust me, I didn't have to dig deep at all to form my own opinion that differs from the rest of the headless sheep on here. :o :D

Cancel culture and wokes ? That the Guardian ,Indy et al are in uproar is a clue to the left being all over it though . It’s simply a factual observation.
If you’re truly naive enough to think that politics isn’t playing a huge part here where a straight middle aged man decided to kiss a high profile lesbian ( very likely against her will ) there’s little hope for you . That I fully agree with their sentiment is perhaps all a big too much for you .
I meant that you struggle to not mention politics, woke, cancel culture etc etc into any threads like this. In this case fro some reason you bring left wing politics into this for no reason whatsoever.
The rest of your post is beyond laughable and not worthy of a response.

Stick to writing those Mills and Boon novels eh,

And the coaching staff, apart from the manager, have all resigned.

I haven’t read this thread so I’m going to take a guess here that it’s split between those on the woke/left/extremist/virtue signalling side and those who think it’s not a big deal and let the world sensibly just get on with it.

I'm on the left of center & i expressed an opinion about "the kiss" having viewed it in isolation (youtube)
I knew nothing about... crotch grabbing in front of Queens or anything about this man's character.

I also have a Wife of 27 yrs & a 10 yr old daughter.

People do crazy things in sport, especially if they win the World cup.

Fulham scored a late equalizer against Arsenal.....lots of players kissed the goalscorer! Did they ask for consent?... should they be punished?

I suppose, regardless of whether you are for or against kissing women (or in fact anyone) on the mouth without their consent, when the CEO of an organisation does something that precipitates a highly public conflagration such as this… they’re usually toast.

Can’t see how he stays on from this position.

Should have ended when the apology was made. All the Spanish FA have done is overshadow the wonderful achievements of their women’s national team.

I think the big problem with this is fitting 81 Spanish women football players, the entire Spanish women's team coaching staff other than the manager, the English women's football team, countless names from the men's sport and the FIFA executive committee into a box labelled "woke/left/extremist/virtue signalling"

I've already touched upon this earlier in the thread but if you're conceptualising this episode through a political matrix, which is what some are doing by invoking 'the left' and 'wokeness', you've lost your fking mind (appealing to this political matrix is something only the apologists for creepy behaviour are doing by the way, because those criticising Rubiales are actually able to do so on the grounds of his behaviour alone and don't need to contort events to fit any kind of apology). I called out the mods on here once for their blindspot towards sexism and my post got deleted within about two minutes. That's by-the-by and I'm not asking for this thread to be deleted, but it does highlight a sub-culture of this messageboard. There's not a tremendous amount of outright sexism being posted on this thread, but that's only because the disgusting people defending Rubiales by means of downplaying are being extra careful not to speak the quiet part of their thoughts out loud, and it's the part which remains silent that is governing the apologetic speech. They think their sexist ideas are hidden under the cover of their appeals to a supposed overreaction, and to an extent this appeal gives them plausible deniability, because like cowards they never speak their mind honestly for fear of the consequences, but it's plain to see the sexism and the creepiness inherent in any position taken up by perverts in defence of this behaviour, even when that defence is limited to a defence by means of downplaying his actions lest the apologists be rightly accused of being disgusting creeps by saying plainly that he did no wrong.

No, it's spilt between those who think sexual assault is ok and those that think it isn't.

How predictable to see the same posters posting multiple times on this topic, like flies over shite. The angry middle aged white men baying for blood in the name of misogyny.

You would think the Spanish bloke forcefully kissed some of the posters on here.

For those making comparisons to other events like teammates congratulating a scorer etc those teammates are not in a position of power.

The head of the Spanish FA is quite possibly the most powerful person in their football, and he forced a kiss with a female player, who has since reported how uncomfortable it was. Yes she smiled, but you have no idea how she was feeling at the time.

It was wholy inappropriate and he acted in a way which abused his position of power. If he does not step down or be removed it sends a dangerous message to anyone else in a position of power. They can act with impunity and avoid consequences because that’s what the lesson would be.

He needs to go, for the sake of himself the player and the Spanish FA whatever we all think, it was a clear abuse of power.

What is wrong with people these days.

Man up and get in with it.

Someone kissed someone in a moment of joy which wasn’t reciprocated. Who cares move on.

The human race is going to the dogs with this kind of hipster wokeism way of thinking. If thats you, you are all barking mad.

Proper weird, people on here have wrote more words than the victim, I think people want to actually be a victim. I don’t know why a simple sentence such as “I don’t agree with what he did, he should probably lose his job” isn’t sufficient enough.

You want a woman who was kissed on the lips without consent to 'man up'.

Gotcha.

At least this sorry episode has provided the opportunity for your kind to come out into the open.

This is code for: "I hate that people are criticising something I'm okay with, and I hate that I can't argue my case as well as they do and I wish they'd stop posting because it's making me uncomfortable", or in other words, "I hate being dumb but I like being a pervert". You're bordering on being distraught at feeling as though you are being held accountable for your beliefs. If you don't like the heat get out of the fking kitchen.

"I don’t agree with what he did, he should probably lose his job" would have sufficed if a load of apologists hadn't turned up claiming sexual assault is OK.

I am genuinely surprised at how many people don’t have an issue with sexual assault. You always expect issues concerning race and politics to be very divisive on here, but I’d have previously thought everyone would be against this.

Iv got to admit the level of absolute BS you write is top notch. Are you just naturally gifted or did you work at it?

People are allowed to have different opinions from your nauseating hipster woke extremist ones.

It’s almost like people like yourself have nothing better to do than be busybodies interfering in things which don’t concern them.

Soooo...the entire women's team, every one of whom he was getting handsy with, who are now mutinying and refusing to play unless he goes...those players are (quite rightly) making a big deal out of it...those are the people you think should man up? The women, including the one who was sexually assaulted? You want her to man up? Wherever you are just now, say that out loud to yourself and listen to how it sounds to your ears.

The split and mutiny are nothing to do with 1 kiss are they. You know that fine well.

And a kiss as sexual assault? Going by you’re logic does that mean anyone with a pet dog is regularly sexually assaulting them aswell? Have a think about what you are attempting to preach.

The term for people like yourself is “useful idiot”

My novels have drawn out a condemnation from you that wouldn't have been forthcoming were you left alone to moan about how this is all an overreaction, and the beauty of this withdrawal is the fact it is clearly forced, a reaction to my provocation, and the fact it was not immediately forthcoming reveals to everyone the falseness and insincerity of your condemnation, because you privileged your moan about the supposed overreaction over and above your condemnation, which came only after you revealed yourself to be an apologist. The purpose of these novels is to goad people into revealing themselves, and it appears to be working.
