I think we can all agree that soccer am was nowhere near what it used to be and the format was a bit tired and in need of a revamp but at its worst it was still far better than this new programme.
Granted I may not be its target audience as I’m probably too old and too miserable.
Although I found Bullard almost unbearable I did enjoy the visits to various clubs doing the football drills and I’d always find it entertaining to see the top actors, musicians etc. have a do at playing football. Bit of justice for us average joes when they were completely cr@p

I watched Saturday Social last week to see if they’d done much with it since it replaced Soccer AM.
It looks to be just a longer version of the same rubbish.
I’m definitely not its target audience.
SKY has left a bit of a hole in the market for a football show targeting those of us over 20. I could be wrong but I can’t see Saturday Social attracting anyone outside of their teens.
Soccer AM wasn’t what it was but surely a good refresh would have been better than the rubbish that they’ve put in its place. I also wish they’d bring back Sunday Supplement.

SAM was never the same after they binned Helen Chamberlain. At its best with Tim Lovejoy & Helen.

Soccer AM was a good watch in last couple of years - decent guests and good live music.
Best goals highlights, showboat and the football challenges all good.
Saturday Social is absolute garbage - how they think this will attract more viewers I do not have a clue

Nothing will ever top Gazzetta Football Italia on a Saturday morning.

I tried watching it last weekend too. It’s basically a glorified pub conversation between a group of 4 people from the south east who support big 6 teams and have only football manager and fifa ultimate team to provide them with knowledge.
At worst Sky should have brought in a couple of ex professionals and a fan who has lived outside of the M25.

I think you’ve pretty much nailed it there. Felt like I was sat at the brew table at work listening to the apprentices (who packed in playing footy as soon as they finished school) talk about football.

Started watching Soccer AM again a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it and they had some top bands on.

Loved "boston goals" .
Calling bastock the "net minder". "Ellender with the field goal" as it sailed miles over the bar etc etc.

Let's get down to the important stuff. Is fantasy football league back for a 2nd season?
