Having butter instead of chips with his fish, can't be a deal breaker can itRVclaret wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 8:02 pmHLN reporting this on Tresor now, some interesting translations
‘On paper, Burnley wants to rent the 24-year-old Trésor from KRC Genk. After all, to stay in line with the Financial Fair Play rules, the club must be careful when spending transfer amounts. But this rent is also linked to a compulsory purchase, so that in practice there is no difference with a final transfer, in which the amount is also spread over time in most cases.
KRC Genk initially set the asking price for Trésor at 25 million euros. That was aiming high in order to eventually catch an amount that would be close to or even slightly higher than the amount that was caught for Paul Onuachu last year. In this case we are talking about 18 to 20 million, including bonuses.
Because the negotiations between the clubs are progressing well, Trésor himself can also sit around the table with Burnley. The English club has its manager as its great weapon: Vincent Kompany has long been a fan of the former U23 international with the velvet judge, he wanted to get him on board at the start of last season.
But Trésor also wants butter with the fish in the Premier League. However, Burnley does not wave the dizzying contracts with which many top English clubs lure top talent. Which means that there is still work to be done in that area.
Trésor was missing on Monday morning on the practice field at KRC Genk. He has a minor thigh injury, but is also allowed to focus on his future at this stage of a possible transfer. The transfer market in England closes at 11 p.m. local time on Friday night.‘

I've never heard of Bradley Barcola. Seems to play quite regularly for Lyon. Does anyone know much about him?

If it’s as high as you say, nobody else will be paying it either.
If Milan want shut of him, they might need to compromise.

Is it worth booking Friday off work for the deadline day

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Brentford is now also interested in Johan Bakayoko. He also names Bakayoko as Burnley's number one target.

Wages in full your right are expensive but if we offered 50% of wages then our offer might be the best they get

It is presumably Vitinho. Right back is his preferred position.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 9:31 pmDoes anyone wanna tell me what our contingency is if Roberts takes a knock?

It can't be Al Dakhil. The fact he couldn't take a throw in yesterday says everything about his comfort in the role.

Patiently (I have faith!) waiting for a reputable journo to link us to a centre mid!
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Seems to be an ‘against the grain’ opinion here but I quite like the idea of having mobile/technical centre backs like Al-Dakhil and Delcroix at ‘full back’ in certain games. City just spent 75m on Gvardiol, a centre back, who’s played ‘left back’ in every game so far (well actually LCB like Delcroix was in possession). Adds physicality to what is a pretty weak and small team for us.

You’d have thought so like. Quite baffling that with the throw ins - I thought we were meticulous in our prep? Outrageous to witness on a PL football pitch.claretspice wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 9:39 pmIt is presumably Vitinho. Right back is his preferred position.

Nothing against Al-Dakhil that either, he was set up to fail yesterday.
Aye Vitinho, forgot he played their momentarily - how many games has he actually played there? Can’t be more than 3

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
He played a few there first half of last season and did well.
Al Dakhil has some of the tools to play right back and it isn't a completely ridiculous idea. But you can't test it out in a Premier League game and it'll need a lot of work to be viable. The comparison with City is simply dealt with - we aren't City, and as we will be inferior to the opposition in most games we play, we can't expect games to be on our terms. Which completely changes the equation.

So he couldn’t take a couple of throw ins ,are some of you on drugs ,there was 10 mins to go ,and things were being rushed.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 9:49 pmYou’d have thought so like. In terms of us signing tella, he’s signed for a team looking for diaby who played for villa on Sunday yes it’s a different league but he’s got a role made for him there not competing against 7 wingers

I think it’s fine when you have Rodri and Kovacic sat infront of you and are playing deep in the oppositions final thirdRVclaret wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 9:47 pmSeems to be an ‘against the grain’ opinion here but I quite like the idea of having mobile/technical centre backs like Al-Dakhil and Delcroix at ‘full back’ in certain games. It’s another thing losing the ball just entering the final third of the pitch and being caught out of position against teams that are lethal on the break.

You’re totally missing my entire point, slipping is different. Forget it
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
You are good at missing the point , agentclaret said he sores goals , I pointed out the fact he’d scored 2 in 27 , nobody has mentioned about players improving when they come to us , anyway he won’t be signing so it’s all irrelevant.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 10:29 pmTella 1 prem goal in 33 games and 17 starts, is that mad enough for you?
The point is players can have certain records and come to us and improve
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
It’s pretty poor being pulled up for a foul throw and he should have been pulled up a second time shortly after.
It’s a ridiculously cheap way to concede possession.
