I don't think it's them, it'll be people we haven't heard of lurking in the background with billionsIt Is What It Is wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 11:57 pmBFC must be spending close £100 million this transfer window plus millions on wages... so the Watts couple and Dude Perfect must have invested quite a few quid.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Tail number PHJRC looks a fantastic private jet. Maybe it was all we could get our hands on to charter the flight with all the transfer activity expected today.
Maybe the aircraft is owned by a secret Burnley investor.
Maybe it's another player signing for any other club in the north of England.
Maybe it's not related at all?
Do love a flight map on a transfer thread though.

I'm surprised there haven't been more with all the foreign players we have signed. Someone on here is slacking

PH-JRC was allocated a slot 1 hour before it departed ANR/EBAW - Antwerp.
A flight plan is inserted within a hour before departure late on in the day ,unless its the Normal Net,Jets which are like taxis in the sky.
PS - No Executive Jets booked in from Belguim or Holland today unless its last minute. He will have stopped last night with the medical carried out in Manchester and Media duties later on.

Thanks Yatesy. Quality aircraft that.
I noticed from it's flight data yesterday that it flew originally from Eindhoven to Antwerp, only a brief stay in Antwerp before continuing to Man.
Presume the aircraft's hub is in Eindhoven then?

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Somebody has to leave surely - but who?
Bastien seems the obvious one.
I had thought Taylor earlier in the window but at present looks a bit less likely.
Cork? Would have kept his experience around the dressing room.
Jay? If both Daka and origi came he must be off.
Egan-Riley and Obafemi on loan in Jan?
Dodgson?
Bastien seems the obvious one.

The transfer deadline in Belgium is 6 September. Can see a few heading over there after today if ALK are taking over Kortrijk.Hedontplayforyou wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 7:41 amSomebody has to leave surely - but who?

As long as we get a recognised left back or left wing back it's a good day. As much as another striker would be great, I still back amdouni, foster and jrod to do the job with others chipping in. I wouldn't be disappointed with him in the slightest, Origis goalscoring record suggests he wouldn't get many more than Rodriguez tbh.

It’s definitely going to be a fun day. A four-midable one I reckon

We really need an interview with Vinny in his car outside Gawthorpe to top it all off though. He’s the new wheeler-dealer Redknapp.

Norwich in the market for a striker following Sargents Injury. Would be a decent loan move for Jay ?

You’d expect Origi to be fit for a larger chunk of the season than Jay though.willsclarets wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 8:00 amAs long as we get a recognised left back or left wing back it's a good day. Obligation to buy if they 're promoted. Allegedly £20m in total. Not cheap. Really rated him but £20m is steep.Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 9:02 amTaylor Harwood-Bellis has signed on loan for Saints. So we can stop talking about him....

Origi was great off the bench for Liverpool, when they were chasing the game. But seemed poor when starting.
Give the lads already here a chance.
Trevor and a left back today please. Then re-assess in January.

He's something different to what we've got. He is a physical presence with a big heart. He's no longer considered the top talent he was expected to develop into but he is reasonably good at everything he does.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 9:08 amAs someone who has seen little of Origi over his whole career is he a lot better than his record suggests ?
I'd happily have him. He's an improvement on Jay. I wouldn't be upset if it didn't come off. Being honest, he's much more likely to end up with Forest.

Surprised Everton or Bournemouth, even ourselves did not get him. It may dent his confidence that no PL club came in. I know Leicester were very keen to get him too through his links with the ex Man City coach now at LeicesterNewcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 9:14 amI find it really strange he’s back in the championship

I have a feeling today is going to be a journey!
Plenty of ups and downs over the next 14 hours.
Strap in and enjoy it. As long as we get a left back it has been a special summer for Burnley FC.
