Leeds fans will be gutted if they lose Summerville. Their entire season will hinge on him, Gnonto and Sinisterra to provide support for Piroe.

As someone who has seen little of Origi over his whole career is he a lot better than his record suggests ?

In his debut for the national team, world cup in Brazil, he was 19 years old and people(not me) preferred him over Lukaku who was on fire at Everton back then. The coach started him the first games until big Rom made the statement against USA by getting the win.

He was always very technical very natural. Takes a ball with ease can dribble can score. His father Mike Origi was a good striker for Genk back in the 90's, early 2000. Son Divock therefore played at Genk youth after following Eden Hazard's footsteps going to Lille, also a club known to develop young players. He's been always a great talent. Can do anything on the ball.

At Liverpool, actually a too big step for him, he was trusted by Klopp as a lucky charm kind of striker, coming in from the bench and scoring the most important clutch goals.

This has done his career no good. He should have gone from Lille to a club where the team is built around him so he could develop as a player. What we're seeing now is a super talented player that never really ripened, never really played 40-50 games in a season, you can say wasted talent.

Raw talent that Kompany could mold. If he would play often he could find some stability, get more connections with his teammates, make the runs. Seems like a good move. He's played and excelled at the very highest level before. Still has his best years ahead of him. If the will is there to perform and improve...

Would definitely make us alot stronger. Another technically gifted player. Good headers too.

Cheers for that. I remember him coming off the bench at Liverpool (just as you say Klopp used him) and scoring a very late winner against Everton possibly in the cup but that maybe as far as my knowledge of him goes.

But IF we are after another winger then I wouldn't be surprised to see Clarke from Sunderland now that he has let it be known he is unhappy with them.

My thought also. Different style to Johnson but they could easily change to 4-4-2 and that is a dangerous front 2.

I suspect already peaked would be a valid reason. We dont want to buy already peaked players at already peaked prices where no profit is to be made.

Pep basically said recently that they won’t loan Palmer out, it’s either a sale or he stays but there was no guarantee he would be regularly playing/first choice

Plus selling him is good for City in regards to FFP

In all fairness to Poch, he will probably give Palmer more of a chance

But, and a big but, we still have to acquire players that will not just make a profit, but will help us stay in the Premier league. That minor detail seems to have got lost a bit.
