Get in there, absolutely delighted with that.

I take it the buy clause will only be active if we stay up.

Surely the £31.5m should be £13.5m?

Matt Law has confirmed its £31m including add ons.

Those add ons will likely be over several years.

I can't believe Cole Palmer has moved to Chelsea for 40m

Surely 31m is with add-ons based on us winning the Premier League!

I've got a feeling that fee will be considerably less in reality.

I've got a bad feeling that Maatsen doesn't want to come back to us - I think its the CFS song that's putting him off...

I wonder if there will be a clause attached that means he gets a new, improved song.

Delighted it looks like Maatsen is returning. But Jesus there must be some false reporting of that fee, surely?!

Ah well, looking like 2/4 of my 'hoped for' signings are incoming so far, assuming no further hiccups with them. Just Phillips and Daka left and it'll be 4/4 :D

By luck or judgement, fair play to whichever poster called Maatsen signing 'in three hours'.

Great deal to get him back. Knew that people would be panicking about the fee like it’s their own money. As people have said it’s probably 20+ add ons that will more than likely never get paid.

Why you quibbling over a couple of inches on a transfer thread.

Anyone would think you were getting precious over a couple of inches!!

Yeah seen on twitter that sources are reporting Maatsen is not keen on leaving.
He wants to stay at Chelsea, but they want to reduce squad size with recent in comings.

for all we know we are back by a bunch of billionaires. ALK and Co only make money if we are successful, have a look who they have 'publicly' attracted and with the understanding the majority of serious investors much prefer to be hidden.

It would be funny, in a way.

Seriously, though, wy would he stay where he isn't wanted? I'm sure his agent is only too well aware that Chelsea were only playing the game of maximising his saleable value and they'll just buy someone in to play for them. If he stays, how many minutes do we think he'll play before he leaves in January?

Not in a million years are we paying 31.5mil, apparently one of the clauses mentioned is only activated if one of Burnley’s players lands on the moon, Pace refused the clause that said if one of Taylor’s shots or crosses lands on the moon.😄

Surely it’s only the obligation part Maatsen is bothered about, he will want to be able to have options open in the summer to go back to Chelsea or sign elsewhere if we don’t stay up, after the year Maatsen had with us and he now doesn’t want to sign we shouldn’t of waited till deadline day for him
