If they did it because they did not have the mental capacity to stop themselves, then what would be the point of a condition that they don't do it again? They can't stop themselves.

Some mental health problems can be cured with therapy & treatment.

His solicitor will say his client was drunk & therefore not fully responsible for his actions….& they’ll fall for it like they always do.
Same as when they beat up old people.
Sentences are much too lenient IMO.

I've never known them fall for it with drunk-driving charges. Perhaps it should be tried?
