Mortimer & Whitehouse gone fishing

Post by Steve1956 » Sun Oct 23, 2022 9:52 am

Among all the dross on TV these days there is always a gem of a programme, the wife and I are ambling our way through the five series and two Xmas specials of MWGF with an episode or two just before bedtime,it's funny, sad, thought provoking and quite a relaxing way to end the day,Whitehouse bollocking Mortimer every time he has a bite and the sheer joy Bob has on his face as he gets a bite is a delight,it's not just about fishing,Bob is quite a good cook and dishes up some good looking stuff,if you guys are looking for something funny & interesting as an alternative to all the crap TV serves up these days give this a go it's great fun.
Footnote Bob falls over a lot. :D

Likewise, I love the series. Good for men to talk about their health too.

Loved every ep' from day one.
Perfectly paced.
Stunningly filmed.
Superbly edited.
Poignant in parts yet always optomistic...
With just enough daftness to create smiles and laughs.

Bob always falling is your slapstick laughs.
Pauls berating always funny.
Banter with pathos.
Trapped Potatoes has now been applied by me for every tinned product.

Bottom line...
It's Perfect Telly,

Oh...and Ted has better bottom teeth than Bob, (without having to use Fuji)

Just a heads up to anyone that's interested in our rivers and the way the water companies are destroying our rivers,
Paul Whitehouse has a new series out called Our Troubled Waters I watched the 1st episode tonight,as ever Whitehouse explains in his own unique way our rivers are being ruined the greedy water companies,if your intrested in the environment this is an eye opening programme, the programme is just missing Bob.

Serious issue. The water companies are killing the rivers, who'd have thought it.

Spot on !
Brilliant programme that has everything you want….
Absolutely love Bob Mortimer - everything he does. Back to the stuff he did with Vic, athletics mince, train man, the best panellist on Would I lie to you….everything !!
His autobiography is really interesting and I’ve just read his first novel and that was great too. Typical Bob humour inter woven into a pretty good story too.

Love Paul Whitehouse too - an extremely talented and funny guy.
