Thankfully the TOC had already priced me out of using a train to travel to Newcastle, so I had already chosen to drive up there at about a third of the cost of 2 train tickets.

Probably a stupid question but we’re travelling with Northern and Transpenine Express so does that mean no service and no refund?

We got lucky as we got a bargain hotel deal for the Friday & Saturday and the trains are ok on the Friday & Sunday.

I just tried to get a refund, for four of us which i booked a few weeks since
Accrington to York return saying i get a refund minus £10 admin fee
York to Newcastle return says None refundable
Surely this can't be right ?
