Very poor from Al Dakhil, miss controls the ball initially and gives a stonewall penalty away trying to make up for it

AAD took him out. Didn’t get anywhere near the ball.

They should have been out of sight a while ago. What a brutal run of games this has been. Hitting most of the very good teams when they are in brilliant form.

We need some confidence and VK needs to find answers to these excellent presses.

Who blamed Trafford? I think pointing out his distribution issues were pretty fair.
He’s been ripped apart literally every game thread. The hypocrisy is these same people ignore the same mistakes by everyone else and can’t find it in themselves to admit Trafford has done well.

Some comments on here are just laughable as per usual

We're away at a club owned by Saudi Arabia who've just drawn away at AC Milan, put 8 past Sheff Utd and beaten Man city.

Honestly don't know what some people think or expect

Odobert has looked good again.

Berge with a decent layoff. Probably the best corner routine of the year which came to nothing but at least we won a header.

There's always someone who makes a comment like this.

We've been poor. Excellent opposition, yes. That goes without saying, it's that way most weeks in this league. But we've been poor. And to say that, on a Burnley message board, is pretty okay.

It was his poor kick initially, gave it straight back to them when the pass was square to his left. Saying that , awful defending and I think generally Trafford is doing ok

Been really poor today all over the pitch. 2-0 flatters us.

Worried about the midweek as that is really must win (yes, even in October, when you’ve made the start we have) on account of that being the ‘easiest’ fixture we’re likely to ever get at this level. When you start the season like we have it dumps all the pressure on a game like that, and Luton’s tails will be right up after today should they hold that win.

And Luton are exactly the sort of team we struggled against last season, when we were arguably better than we are this.

I think some of you must be trolls. I've never seen such negativity so early in the season. Sofa tacticians thinking they know more than VK, with no resilience to face difficult times. With friends like you, who needs enemies. Give the team a chance!

The run of fixtures has been a shocker and given we should have had 3 points at Forest gives me hope moving forward.

Fair to say today has been a complete mis match though.

I can’t say we have defended well. It should be at least 4-0 but for two excellent saves from Trafford. We have created a couple of decent openings but our profligacy in front of goal is one of our biggest issues.

Newcastle are a good side and losing is no disgrace. It’s the manner of it. We have been so naive, so careless and haphazard in midfield and defence. It’s easy to say ‘Saudi billionaires, Champions League etc etc’ but we have bloodied loads of noses of teams far better than this over the years at this level. I had hope today, I certainly thought if we played like we did against United we’d give them a good game. We simply haven’t been in the game after the first ten minutes.

You can find excuses for anything if you look hard enough.

It’s not inaccurate to say we have struggled in the league so far. We don’t score goals and we concede a lot. Right now it’s not wrong to say we don’t look PL quality.

That doesn’t mean we won’t. But right now we look miles off it. Let’s be honest if it wasn’t for Trafford making some top quality saves this should have been another 4-5 Nil loss

That’s fair and I can see your point. I think as a unit we have defended pretty well, but maybe I’m clutching at straws to keep perspective/positive moving forward.
