Really looking forward to this, its one of my fav television sports to watch. Hopefully we can give them a good game and possibly beat them.
I wonder of we will see a Fleetwood Mac combination as well.
I hope it doesn't end up in a 14 14 draw as the Solheim Cup did..If so I would like to see the two Captains go into a sudden death play off, would be great viewing.

Was quite surprised when reading an article that USA have only won 4 of the last 13.

Europe to win for me.
USA are bookies favourites - but not much in the odds.
Most of their players have not played for a number of weeks whereas the European lads like Hovland, Fleetwood, Rory, the new wonder kid Aberg etc have been in great form.
The American record away from home in the Ryder cup has been pretty shocking in recent times.
Top European point scorer - Hovland or Fleetwood…both at decent odds and even longer if you back them for overall points scorer. Hovland could be paired up with Rory or possibly Aberg. Hovland the way he is playing will I am sure be one of the first picks in the foursomes and four balls which is what you need to consider as a number of players will be rested and rotated.
American point scorer - very difficult to predict given their lack of playing / form. Max Homa looks decent odds and he’s sounding pretty confident about his game in this weeks interviews. Re the above point on the match being tied Homa said he does not think this should be the case and there should be a winner every time - even if this has to go to a play off. That would be great to watch tor sure.

Done Hovland 5/1 and Schauffele 6/1 each way double for top points scorer

Decent bet.
Schauffele is always pretty solid and has the game for the European courses too.

Greatest sporting event, bar none. Went to two of the Ryder Cups at the Belfry and the atmosphere was electric. Shame that we don't have more matchplay in European and American golf, but I understand the reasons (big names being knocked out early doesn't make good viewing figures).

I fancy Europe this time as well, you could make a good case that Mcllroy, Rahm and Hovland are the best 3 players in the world at the moment. Home advantage is massive as well.

Need to absolutely make sure we take all four points here. Superb start. Can’t afford to give them even the hint of a sniff.

Agreed, not all over by a long shot but a wonderful morning. In the equivalent ladies event recently (Solheim Cup) USA were ahead 4-0 after Friday's foursomes but Europe clawed it back to 14-14 and thus retained the cup. Hopefully the reverse of this doesnt occur.

Phenomenal performance from Europe. The last two matches will be crushing for the yanks.
Hopefully no miracle at Marco’s, like

I've been lucky enough to see nearly all of today's play on Sky. Wonderful spectacle. The Ryder Cup is probably the best sporting competition in the world, when we are winning! The very best can combust under the pressure.

That 9 & 7 from Hovland and Aberg will have further pummeled the yanks this morning.

Holland/Aberg just won 9 up with 7 to play! A proper hiding. 3 up in two others and all square in the other. No way USA will be shortening the deficit this morning.

After the 9&7 the Yanks have won the next hole in all three remaining matches.
Hoping there is no reaction.

At least with it being in Europe the Americans can't deliberately cheat like they did in 1999.

That 9&7 has definitely changed things. The Yanks relaxed and freed up, the Europeans relaxed and got sloppy.
Rory and Tommy have just put another point on the board.
Need to win the last match now after being 3 up early, currently 1 up.

Only 4 points needed now, I reckon Zak will front load the players tomorrow with his big guns.
Max Homa has been their best player so far.

First of the 12 singles already underway, drama ahead no doubt. I suspect USA may win more of the 12 than Europe but we only need 4 so must be strongish favourites.
Rahm 1 up after one hole of the first match is a good start.

I hope the TV coverage was better over there.......10 mins of commercials & 3 mins of coverage here.
HORRIBLE!!.............They ruin every event.
