Massive fan of Odobert standing there and glaring at the lad instead of rolling on the deck.
On principle yes, in practice in the modern Prem not sure. Sterling would have been calling for a field surgeon, and unfortunately those histrionics can make a difference. It was a dirty kick and if we'd done that they'd have had a better chance of the red through their reactions

Foster putting a real shift in, defensively..

I was about to say it was coming down that flank. Giving them plenty of space.

Al Dakhil own goal.

Unfortunate but can’t help think I say that far too often about him

Sterling is a problem. Soft free kick prior to that though, ball had already gone!!

It's more he was looking at him as if to say just you wait. Very refreshing from an 18 year old

Very fortunate goal, but what Berge was doing giving the free kick away in the build up beggars belief. The ball was well on its way out before he made any contact and we'd have had the throw.

Al-Dakhil’s body shape wrong there, but it’s still bloody lucky. Sterling been excellent in fairness.

You know you're back in the Premier league when you're conceding leads just before half time.

From liquid football for the goal to schoolboy defending.

So strange having Chelsea provide the Clarets+ commentary. Anyone know why that is?

A good half, very promising and we were really unlucky with the OG. Was it even a free kick beforehand that lead to it ?

Definite freekick in the build up but completely and utterly needless.

Commentator on the stream I'm watching going on about how Thiago Silva was unlucky to pick up a yellow for the foul on Vitinho really boils my p*ss. Silva knew he wasn't going to be able to keep up with Vitinho and purposely shoulder-tackled him to take him out. Guess I shouldn't be surprised about biased commentary after all our previous seasons though...

Credit to the ref though, he's not putting up with any nonsense from Chelsea. Reckon Cucurella would have been given a straight red for lashing out at Odobert if he'd made contact.

Sterling as had Vittino on toast, you get tighter on good players so they can't run at you .

Berge caused that goal. What a stupid free kick to give away at that point. We would have come in at the break one up if he hadn't done that. Why on Earth did he push him over then

I think you're watching the same footage as me. Silva came charging across, completely missed the ball and made no attempt to get out of the way. Its a yellow every day of the week.
The commentary team have barely mentioned us though, it's all about Chelsea.

I’d get Koleosho on cucurellas side for the second half , only a matter of time before he gets a second yellow. Odobert looks rightly ****** so I’d get him away from him also.

We were doing really until the goal, then we stopped the high press and sat deeper. Foster is just getting better and better.

Been out all day so missed first 20 mins but surprised at some of comments on the team. Koleosho was due a rest and Andoumi is a no.10 so with 3 midfielders (Berge, Brownhill, Cullen) he doesnt really fit in. I expected it to be Larsen and Tresor but swapping the wide men isnt shocking at all.

At the back it looks like DeCroix was forced and Vithino looked great first half of last season at RB but Roberts was brilliant post World Cup and Vitinho had to play in positions he wasn't strongest in.

Bayer is a big miss but I was very happy with us swapping the two wide men and thought it was definitely needed.

Shame about deflected goal as we looked pretty comfortable from what I had seen but reckon this could go either way second half

From the jaws of victory by our sloppy passing, petty fouls and poor defending we are well on the way to snatching a defeat here.
Great effort from the lads but.....well ..you know what I mean. Our defence is poor.

Vitihno is a poor defensive full back. What happened to our passing game, our midfield and wide men losing the ball too easily.
