Chelsea half time

Post by Burnleyareback2 » Sat Oct 07, 2023 8:58 pm

Anyone know what happened?

Their manager who’s name I can’t spell or be arsed to check was back on the bench 5 mins before Burnley came out.
Chelsea players came out 3 minutes later. Stood there ready for kick off and a few minutes later we came out.

It was clear we weren’t late, just Chelsea being early- wonder if he walked out on them during half time?

We should have been 2 up at half time, Chelsea were dreadful, Pochettino would have been seriously annoyed with them, they stepped it up, we were dreadful and we got spanked. Such a shame Vitniho gave away a dumb penalty so early, completely killed us.

I've seen a few teams do it lately. Maybe it's a psychological thing, trying to intimate the opposition. It asserts readiness. As soon as we come out the tunnel we see what are up against. Ready, waiting.

I noticed today that when we came out for the 2nd half we didn't do the mini warm-up with the cones. Not sure if this has been the case all this season, but I always thought it was a good idea last season and seemed to focus the players for the task in hand.

The missing mini warm up and the non showing if Al D suggests to be we were ill prepared for the second half and it showed.

Something happened. But we will never find out.

Unless it's in the 2nd series...NEXT YEAR!
