I can't give marks because I wasn't there but I did actually manage to watch the game at a friend's house.
What I saw was a ref having a good-to-average game. He missed a few things and was a little bit inconsistent.
But two instances were some of the best refereeing I've seen this season.
The first was when he refused to give Brentford a fk to their winger when he decided to sit down and claim one. The referee rightly played on.
The second was when another of their players tried to claim a fk.a short while later because he'd conceded a corner. Once again this ref was having none of it.
Whatever this guy's faults and limitations, he very correctly took charge of the game and didn't allow himself to become a conduit for the players to run the show.
He gave a performance of integrity.

Not really the refs fault but how the hell did they chalk off that Maupay goal before they actually scored. I’m utterly baffled

I’m a bit confused by the Collins question offside too

Even with VAR in our corner, we lost 3-0

Likewise. I wondered whether the Brentford player who was stood clearly offside when the free kick was taken was then adjudged to be interfering with Trafford when Collins hooked the ball across the goal. No idea if that would be offside anyway as a different phase of play.

Thought he had a good game.
Was in control of things. Correctly booked Roberts (first yellow for being a dxxx.
Stopped some quick throw ins being taken from wrong place. Decisions generally seemed fair on both sides.
So A 20, B 20, C 20, D 20.

I can't score 'cos I wasn't there but overall I reckon he did quite well. Mistakes are made by players and officials alike, so for me I'm not going to knock a fellow (I was a ref) referee, it's a difficult job in local leagues never mind with the 30 cameras trying to fault you.
Sadly though, I'm turning off completely to the game, the changes to the laws of the game, a game that's been played with those laws for over a hundred years has lost the plot. I'm proper done with the shite we are served (not just us) every week, the game has no proper spirit anymore, the reason I said I would never subscribe to Sky when it put it's foot in the door.

VAR definitely helped us out with the goal ruled out we have had some lucky calls recently as well as the odd iffy decision it's pretty much forming a balance thus far, we aren't doing ourselves any favours & making any fortuitous gains count.

It’s frustrating seeing so many yellow cards in a game, nine yesterday including the second one for Roberts, but that’s how they have to referee the games now.
So
A. 20
B. 22
C. 22
D. 21
