Jesus wept, no Foster.

Here we go again. No sooner the team sheet drops that any hope or optimism that built during the week just goes out the window. Frightening how we've ended up in this mess, big win for Bournemouth today and other results not going our way and slowly we start to get cut adrift.
Jesus Christ. I’m going to revisit this thread at 5pm when none of that has happened

Jbg probably last 15 minutes before he comes off injured

Not sure I get the negativity around JBG, I think he adds some much needed steel and someone that is good on the ball. We should retain possession in midfield a lot better today.

I’m slightly concerned at our lack of out ball though. Amdouni struggles to hold the ball up

To be replaced by Bruun Larsen who will also last 15 minutes before being substituted.

If anyone complains about negativity on here just bear in mind that what we're all doing is psyching ourselves down so a point feels like a win😆

How an ageing JBG gets in the side before Larsen is baffling
JBG isn’t in ahead of JBL he is in ahead of Berge I guess Koleosho is in ahead of JBL.

Gudmondsson being ahead of Berge and Cork to play in midfield is crazy. And having that choice after how much we've spent is even worse
It's bonkers how it seems Gudmundsson is going to feature quite a lot for us if he's fit. He was on the wane at this level two seasons ago. And then, like you say, you add in how much we've spent...

To be fair, Cullen, Brownhill and JBG was the central three for our best run of form last season. Don't disagree though that with the money spent, we could have upgraded. At least with JBG in there the standard of our set pieces might improve a bit
It was the central three once we'd got so good we were running teams over every week. I'm not quite sure we're at that stage now

JBG would start every game at the minute for me if he is fit. That is a bit of a damning indictment of recruitment, but we are where we are. Foster is a massive, massive miss.

I tihnk it's more likely Amdouni and JBG central with Zaroury and Koleosho on the wings no? JBG can still do a job in the middle, I'm surprised no Ramsay unless he's ill too?

All I can see is more tinkering.
No Foster is really disappointing, but obviously one of those things, but this team has a feel of hit and hope about it. I can't say I'm feeling confident at all, intact I'm expecting another kicking.
From someone who has always been glass half full, we really are in **** Street.
I just hope I'm wrong.

He tends to improve us which is a good thing of course. But I think it's mad that he's still required to play such a big role.

Vincent as now changed ever position with different players either choice, injured, suspended, bar the gk , that should tell you all you need to know that he won't drop Trafford.

Just watched Brentford win at Chelsea. VK needs to watch a video of the game and he will see how to set up a team away from home in PL. Excellent by Brentford inc Nathan Collins who also was excellent against us last week

Losing Foster far from ideal, other than that we have a stiffened up midfield which we have been calling for. Only controversial pick is Koleosho on the right where he hasn’t shown anything, ahead of Larsen etc.

I would have played Berge on the right or Berge ahead of Brownhill and JBG on the right.

But we will see. In the manager I trust.

Tbf Chelsea have struggled to score goals all year. Before playing us Leeds had scored more premier league goals than them.

Be tight and keep a clean sheet and you have a very good chance of beating chelsea

Yes I think that is correct with Cullen - he is on 4.

Maybe want him suspended for the Cup game midweek, so worth a tenner on a booking.

The good thing about the plague a few years ago was footy stopped for a while so technically speaking we stopped losing for a while. I'd take that.

Awful run of injuries and illness.
so it's Bergs turn to sit on bench this week to give Brownhill a go again, sorry but you can't keep chopping and changing other than suspension and injuries you need to find a good balance.

Not a midfield enforcer, but he should tighten things up.

He’s got experience and isn’t afraid to get a tackle in. Positionally he should definitely help us out.
