Question : Re : New match day music

Post by AlargeClaret » Wed Nov 01, 2023 12:09 pm

As most will know the club have announced an all new “ music /playlists “ etc starting from Sat to presumably send the crowd into a pre match chest thumping frenzy . ( no issues with that )

However does anyone have any info on what’s in store ? Does this mean a pitchside dj pumping out “ uplifting cheese” or are there some pre selected tunes chosen by the “fan advisory “ lot ?

They used to have the players pick a playlist a few years back.

Michael Duff has a particularly decent selection.

Grounds like OT, Etihad, Salford all have the good Manchester music but I get that's not everyone's taste.

Most people are still queueing to get in while the music is on.

Oh yeah, vaguely remember this.

What was Duffo's selection? I'd guess 'Madchester' type stuff like Happy Mondays, New Order etc but could be wrong.

Aye, I recall Ceremony was on there, and the rest followed a similar vein. Loose Fit as well I think.

You can’t kid a kidder
All that matters is winning everything else is ill timed
This season has been shambolic so far! No defence , midfield constantly walked through, mistake after mistake and little goal threat

I have confidence in Vinny to turn this round
No Jordan North of JJWatt playlist will alter a damn thing

and that's the problem. What ones like another might not like the same. They can't please all 18k people. It's up to the crowd to please themselves and get behind the team. I get winning football breeds that but it's like English crowds these days are sat there with the attitude of "entertain me and then I'll cheer".

I thought Forest walking out to Welcome to the jungle was pretty good.

Whatever it is, it can't be more annoying than the canned rubbish put on during the rugby world cup in gaps. It was the same at every match and seemed to have been borrowed from "the hundred" cricket tournament.
I guess that England might still be able to win a 20:20 world cup. Any more than 160 balls, and they are usually all gone in the 50 over.

One of our new type of supporter, you know the type, they don't know the definition of supporter. Will have a moan, even if the thread isn't about the matter they are moaning about, they just feel the need to be heard
