Re: McNeil booing
I agree some of our travelling fans are as thick as pig shite, knuckle draggers. Put coke into the mix and it can be a nightmare for other away supporters.
I have lost count of the number of times I have been to away matches with family and been close to these pr!cks and then all their like minded mates all squeeze onto a row with them after another line of coke in the bogs. The row that should accommodate 20 fans ends up having 25 to 30 of them in it. This then spoils it for anyone in that row or directly in front or behind. Put booing and general abuse, sometimes racism into the equation and it becomes a thoroughly tedious afternoon/evening watching the Clarets.
My wife stopped coming to away games with me a few seasons ago because of having to stand close to these pr!cks.
Don’t mention sitting down, because this doesn’t happen anymore. Or perhaps I’m just a miserable old moaning git?

Re: McNeil booing
dont go to away games and expect to sit down, it wont happen, as much as you think it should.
weird bunch on here that attribute everything to "coke"
you must think this mystical drug has some strange effects on people.

Cocaine In Ma Brain -- Dillinger
Re: McNeil booing
This mystical drug does have strange effects on people. Have you spent an hour or so in the company of a coked up pr!ck?
Re: McNeil booing
a prick is a prick, with or without coke. happy nice people are still happy nice people after coke.

Unsure about that pal. I know a guy who was a nice happy person. He then got into coke. He was tolerable at first, now he is just coked up all weekend every weekend and a waste of space.

Re: McNeil booing
The saddest thing is that coke was once considered 'cool' amongst the middle classes, when it should have held the same 'status' as smack or crack. If it had, it would have been viewed as a scrotes drug. At least that's starting to change, and it's now thought of as the arseholes drug of choice.

Of course Em-Claret. My point is aimed at the booers, not the intelligent.

Not sure about that. In my experience coke makes everybody think they're the biggest/most important person in the room. Even people who are generally sound can become annoying loudmouths who won't shut up.

The thing is though the people who are under the influence or indulge in it probably won't realise that & they'll think they are excitable & entertaining & won't even be conscious that they are boring the life out of the misfortunate people in their company such is the delusion of the drug.

Amble Claret ….. ha ha very good! Looking forward to seeing you in our village our dog walking. I believe you met my daughter wearing her Burnley shirt out with Rupert. We will have a good old chin wag about our Claret Woes!AmbleClaret wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 10:10 pmYou certainly aren't, what a helmet. Deadwood is missing you.
Yeah I had no idea why McNeill was being boos. Very embarrassing. JT I noticed didn’t celebrate his goal apart from a smile with his team mates which I was pleased to see.

Perhaps he has the intelligence to realise that some of our fans are bellends and they don't speak for the majority.

I think he was hurt by the fans booing him from
A club he clearly still has affection for .. If he didn’t care he wouldn’t have mentioned it .. I hope he realises most fans appreciate what he did for us ::I will always remember Dwight for the moments of brilliance he gave us

Wasn't Dwight seen watching a home game earlier this season, or the back end of last?
Re: McNeil booing
He was in the Bob Lord stand last season with his girlfriend, think he was on the Crooked Billet bus as well.TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2023 9:40 pmWasn't Dwight seen watching a home game earlier this season, or the back end of last?

Let’s have it right … we’ve signed 7 wingers and none are as good as Dwight McNeil .. that’s the REAL reason fans boo him ..

I’m sure Tarkowski claimed he had an injury to his little toe that kept him out of the team for about a month when we refused a bid from West Ham for him ..his little toe was causing him problems as well when we bid for him at Brentford and their fans were very unhappy with him
Re: McNeil booing
That's right, it magically cleared up as soon as the transfer window closed if I recall rightly.Carlos the Great wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2023 9:02 pmI’m sure Tarkowski claimed he had an injury to his little toe that kept him out of the team for about a month when we refused a bid from West Ham for him ..his little toe was causing him problems as well when we bid for him at Brentford and their fans were very unhappy with him
