Amazingly Oliver has blown after 12 mins stoppage time. I thought there should have been at least three more minutes.

James could have gone there.
Not for me. Eye on the ball, using arm for leverage and won the ball. Not every coming together has to be looked at by VAR.

A fiery game this, as is often the case between these 2 sides.
They really don’t like each other these two.

It’s basic stuff like that which annoys me as much as anything. Inept the lot of them.

I've just got back in and see there's 12 mins injury time and a red card

Also the BBC is saying there's been 3 goals ruled out, is that right?
Also Spurs have lost Van de Ven and Maddison due to injury.

The Spurs player kicking out on the floor yes that’s correct. Made my ears prick up as well.

Wow the most exciting half of football iv ever watched had everything
And this is the reason VAR will stay - it’s the millions of armchair referees who like to discuss the merits of each decision that take precedence over the mere thousands at the ground without a clue as to what is actually going on.

Correct, same as Saturday evening at St James Park, Bruno wasn't sent off because he used his forearm and not his elbow

I'm a bit behind the times these days, but I thought a genuine attempt to play the ball (Romero's red card) was a yellow card and a penalty, not a red card and penalty.
So is it a violent conduct red card? I mean, it was a bad tackle, but it was clearly an attempt to play the ball. Is there a serious foul red card? Maybe its that.
Certainly an argument to say that it's a reckless follow through. Enzo hasn't moved from the position so is always at risk if you go in like that. It's not like he came from the side and was just caught accidentally with a natural follow through. Could have gone either way

Saturday in Utd match there’s a subjective offside, now you can give someone a kick and it’s ok if you being petulant ,and I reckon if you play in red and white against claret and blue you can do what you bloody want.

Unless I'm watching replays of something completely different, it's not just an attempt to win the ball, he gets there first and wins it cleanly. Oliver is absolute garbage.

Oliver didn’t give it though - was sent to the monitor. Yes he wins the ball but it’s the follow through that’s done him. It’s a definite red for me.

They’re both nasty challenges, but I’m sure you wouldn’t be saying the Romero one isn’t a foul if they were playing against us. He knows exactly what he’s doing, horrible player.

As Gary Neville pointed out first half, 4 red cards in 75 games for Tottenham, that’s not unlucky, that’s just the sort of player he is.

There was a player red carded recently where his boot contacted the top of the ball and then went on to the player’s leg and it was deemed as reckless.

Not really. With the Barnes one, Matic came across from Barnes’ left as he was playing the ball.

You can't. But that isn't remotely what happens. Its not a tavkle dor a start, he's going to clear the ball. He kicks through ball from behind it with the side of his foot and catches the Chelsea player as his foot follows through. What's he meant to do, stop his foot dead? It's football, it's a contact sport and collisions like that happen. Never a foul.

Not at all, makes no difference who is playing. Agreed that he's a bell and he should have gone for kicking out earlier. Not for the penalty though.
