Decent walk near Lake Buttermere yesterday over Red Pike, High Stile and High Crag.
Always found a walk is a good chance to dicuss any issues going on in life with mates, without phones and an internet connection usually. Walking on my own gives me space to think creatively and strategically about work or to clear one's head.

Other than the exercise, the best bit is seeing the amazing country we are fortunate to live in.

Fantastic news from South Africa .re Kyle.
Had another big walk around the Beautiful City of Lincoln .
Wonderful fresh air and helps Mental Health and any stress issues.
Again thinking of friends from the Edenfield and Lincoln areas who have had mental health issues in the past.
Big game in my Lancashire are for the first 60 years of my life- Ramsbottom United v Bury.
Everyone have a great weekend

Had a walk along a blustery Golden Mile yesterday. Blew a few cobwebs away.

Re the β€œbig game”.. Apparently a very entertaining 2-2 draw, Bury winning 6-5 on pens. The gate of 1,699 given by HW apparently surprised many who were there, most convinced it was over 2,000.

I did a mile or so with Vernon Kay at the bottom of Kinder Scout on Thursday and five on the treadmill in the gym yesterday.

Rooting for Lyle every single day and whenever I step out of the front door with Mrs G, our top striker is in our thoughts.

Come on big man - get well soon and make us a better team!

Indeed - I went up around Thieveley today, which is somewhat steep in places, no such problems in what appears to be a private London square garden, but everyone thinking of Lyle which is good

I was out at 8 am but just walk ( too old to run) back home from City Centre at 11-45. 8.6 km walked with my usual sausage roll and Cappuccino at Greggs in the middle of walk for a much needed sit and refreshment .
I certainly feel better after the exercise and the fresh air

Third time out since starting up again. Big improvement but a long way to go.
Hurry back Lyle.

10 km for me today in 2 sessions.
Very early walk to Lincoln City Centre , 10 mins for Greggs Cappuccino and sausage roll quick shop home by bus l in 2 hours and 4.6 km
Go out again at 11-45 and walk up to scenic Cathedral/Castle and Fish Chips and Mushy Peas and Teapot of strong tea at the excellent Elite Fish Restaurant on the Bail.
Walk home and 10.5 km complete
Fabulous Day and very mild before the temperature drops to 4-5 degrees

Remember to consider parking a little further from the ground and do your #MileForLyle.

Most importantly, keep talking to one another, keep sharing and keep moving!

Great idea for those attending the game
Did a shorter walk this morning as the temperature was around 4 but feeling like 0
My 3 km to the Greggs on high street to get a warm up and the usual little breakfast and then in a couple of shops for a card and then a few provisions then a little walk back in Greggs for a warm and a hot cappuccino then to Bus Station and home by 10-45
Extremely cold but sun out and lovely fresh air and thoughts with friends and family and Lyle

Backed off my run today. Set off but very cold and I could feel the stiffness around my chronic calf problem. Best to save it for another day.
Meanwhile on putting my feet up I came across this message and thought it would be apt on here. Keep talking guys.

November 10th, 2023 to November 10th, 2024.

We got there, and now it’s time to bring it to a close (as a daily thing anyway).

Thanks to ALL those who have joined in the discussion around promoting mental health awareness along the way!

Keep Moving!
