Killing Joke

Post by AmbleClaret » Sun Nov 26, 2023 9:51 pm

Any fans out there, one of my favourite ever groups. Sad news tonight, guitarist Geordie Walker has passed away, aged 64. Soundtrack to my youth their debut album. RIP.

Had been touring and releasing new material. Saw them pre-covid in Manchester. As good as ever,Requiem is an absolute classic.

Big fan here
Absolutely gutted about this, nobody could ever reproduce the guitar sound or tone that Geordie had which means Killing Joke will probably be no more but what a great back catalogue they have left us

Killing Joke was one of the first records I ever bought, the man was a genius of the guitar.

I highly recommend Killing Joke, Night time, Absolute Dissent and MMXII.

Rip Geordie.
