Not trying to take anything away from the Burnley team, but Coundon Cort, I think are a school. So well done to them too.

How many goals have they scored in all competitions this season? They seem to thrash a lot of teams. Great progress.

Brilliant win. Bit of a mismatch but going some to knock 11 past anyone & you can only beat what’s in front of you.

They've score 20 goals so far in the FA cup alone (2 rounds).

49 goals in 12 games in all competitions, conceded 10 goals.
Only failed to score once, a 0-0 draw away to Newcastle.

Looking a real team now. The loan/duel registration players have had time to bed in now and they seem to be kicking on.
Think that’s it for games until after Christmas now. Stay off the mince pies girls.

Well you could say the same thing about the FA Cup preliminary rounds.
But I'd guess that the losing ladies will always remember the day they played Burnley in the cup

They may be a team from a school, but they were obviously good enough to qualify for the 1st round and then win that game. Respect is due to them, everyone who gets to play for a chance to draw a big name deserves respect.
Burnley ladies are top of the league in what is the 3rd tier of Women's football and, as someone else has written, you can only beat whatever opposition is on the pitch with you. There are no gimmes at this level as our men's team has found out on occasion, Lincoln, Wimbledon, Accy, Burton and a number of other giantkillers have all done a number on us over the years.

Birmingham 4th in the league above us, so will be a good test for the ladies.
The league looks like a 2 horse race between us and Newcastle. Could all come down to our home match with them.

Given how tight the away game was, it could all come down to goal difference!

If it does, we’re 5 behind! Need to be as clinical as possible for the remainder of the season to try and catch up.
Just realised that Newcastle have caught and overtaken us now, having won their game in hand, one of which was against Forest away, who are third, so a very creditable result.
We have a tough Jan playing Wolves away on 7th and Forest away on 28th, before Newcastle at home. If we’re still in touching distance by then, I hope the club play that match at the turf as we’re away to Liverpool that weekend so no clash.

My niece plays for Coundon Court Ladies. It's been brilliant watching them form afar as they've gone through the first few rounds of the cup. When they won their second round tie I was really hoping they'd draw Burnley. Even though they got hammered, the Coundon Court girls were still buzzing about the whole experience.
